Con la presente estamos haciendo entrega de informe fotográfico y certificados de hermeticidad generados
electrónicamente por el sistema de pruebas ultrasónicas SDT270, con Serie No. S/N273190014 los cuales
fueron realizados para la ESTACIÓN DE SERVICIO CBC el día 01 de octubre de 2022. Sugerimos realizar las
próximas pruebas en octubre de 2023.

OBJETIVO
Indicar las normas y procedimientos para realizar pruebas de hermeticidad ultrasónicas a tanques Subterráneos
y/o elevados en Estaciones de Servicio e industria petrolera.

ALCANCE
Este documento aplica para la actividad de pruebas de hermeticidad ultrasónicas a tanques subterráneos y/o
elevados en estaciones de servicios e industria petrolera dedicadas al despacho de combustibles líquidos.

CONDICIONES GENERALES
El presente procedimiento aplicará cada vez que se realice cualquier actividad de pruebas de hermeticidad
ultrasónicas a tanques en estaciones de Servicio e industria petrolera.

ESPECIFICACIONES TÉCNICAS

A continuación, presentamos la descripción de estas Tecnologías para la realización de “PRUEBAS DE

HERMETICIDAD ULTRASONICAS A TANQUES SUBTERRANEOS Y TUBERIAS CONDUCTORAS DE
COMBUSTIBLES”
TECNOLOGIA ULTRASONICA – SDT-TANK TEST –
Aplicada al Tanque
Mediante esta Tecnología se pueden probar Tanques de acero y fibra de vidrio, de Combustible y/o Líquidos
Derivados del Petróleo y Químicos.
En la actualidad nuestra empresa desarrolla Pruebas de Tanques en todo el territorio colombiano para empresas
reconocidas, somos altamente especializados en este campo y contamos con una experiencia de más de diez
años en el mercado.

ASPECTOS TECNICOS
El nivel de producto en los tanques debe estar entre el 10% y 50% de su capacidad, para desarrollar la prueba
de una manera eficiente y segura.
El Tiempo de recolección de datos es de 30 minutos con el propósito de disminuir la probabilidad de retest y
hacer más eficiente el proceso de pruebas.

The text regarding “recommended calibration intervals” is available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and
Spanish.

The following is the English version:

SDT recommends annual recalibration of SDT instruments and annual verification of sensors to benefit from its
limited lifetime warranty.
This periodicity is coherent with the observed long-term stability of SDT electronic equipment’s.

However:

- For new equipment leaving the factory the initial period is extended to 15 months instead of 12 (to avoid
any possible discrimination between users due to transportation time, customs clearance, etc.)

- SDT recognizes that each customer may have their own Quality Assurance Standards and internal
requirements. If a customer has established a Quality Assurance Program that includes a documented
procedure for measurement deviations, and if an instrument and the relevant sensor show acceptable
deviations and do not show signs of physical damage, then calibration periodicity could be extended to
two years.

- Third party organizations having more authority (Class, or State Administrations) may have defined their
own regulations for example 6 months, or 2 years calibration interval: by evidence, local legally applicable
regulations supersede SDT rules.

For these reasons, SDT Calibration Certificates do no more mention a “calibration due date”, but simply the “last
calibration date”.

For user convenience, the date of the last calibration of an SDT200, SDT270 or SDT LUBExpert instruments can
also be found in the menu screens.

Note! Only the users of SDT200, SDT270, SDT LUBExpert, SDT340, SDT Checkers range, SDT T-Sonic1 and SDT T-
Sonic9 can benefit from limited lifetime warranty.
