Dear Parents and Guardians,

With the rise in technology both in and out of the classroom, it won’t be
uncommon for your students to make friends online. While this may be unnerving at first
(as a lot of us have been taught to never speak to anyone online we don’t already know)
I’d like to reassure you that this is a completely normal way for students to make friends.
As the infographic states, online friends are a way for students to find people with
similar interests, meet people from all over the world, and create a solid social circle.
That being said, it is still important for your students to practice being safe online. I
encourage you to read over the infographic with your students as it contains information
about being safe with online friends. If you have any questions or concerns, please do
not hesitate to contact me using either the information below or the QR code on the
infographic.

Estimados padres y tutores,

Con el aumento de la tecnología tanto dentro como fuera del aula, no será raro
que sus estudiantes hagan amigos en línea. Si bien esto puede ser desconcertante al
principio (ya que a muchos de nosotros nos han enseñado a nunca hablar con nadie en
línea que aún no conocemos), me gustaría asegurarle que esta es una forma
completamente normal para que los estudiantes hagan amigos. Como dice la
infografía, los amigos en línea son una forma para que los estudiantes encuentren
personas con intereses similares, conozcan gente de todo el mundo y creen un círculo
social sólido. Dicho esto, sigue siendo importante que sus estudiantes practiquen estar
seguros en línea. Te animo a leer la infografía con tus estudiantes, ya que contiene
información sobre cómo estar seguro con amigos en línea. Si tiene alguna pregunta o
