27.H.D.(1886-1961)/Sheltered garden

repeticiones.//It describes the sheltered life led by the speaker and how she is looking for a world that is more

of nothing but repetition.

room where he lived and died seems to reflect his personal qualities, as if his ghost still lingers .

Las fábulas cuestionan lo que le ocurre a cualquiera cuando hay un desequilibrio de poder por lo que se prestan
fácilmente a su empresa feminista, pero también a las "disparidades de poder" que observa en Occidente y en su
país natal, la India. En muchas de sus fábulas, utiliza la tradición literaria, occidental y oriental, antigua y moderna,
para "exponer lo que es absurdo e inaceptable.// Fables ‘question what happens to anyone when there’s an
imbalance of power’ ,so that they lend themselves readily to her feminist enterprise, but also to the ‘disparities of
power’ she sees in the West and in her homeland of India. In many of her fables, she uses the literary tradition,
western and eastern, ancient and modern, to ‘expose what is absurd and unacceptable.
