VERBS)
En este tiempo gramatical aparece el auxiliar DID
para todos los pronombres personales.

1.USO
Acciones que se completaron en el
pasado (general).

Jorge visited a museum=Jorge visito el museo

Rutinas realizadas en el pasado.


You worked as a computer expert
Trabajaste como experto en informática

Acciones que ocurrieron recientemente.


I saw her five minutes ago = La vi hace 5 minutos

2.ESTRUCTURA GRAMATICAL

CENTURIA 1
PAST SIMPLE WITH OTHER VERBS

NOTA: Solo en la estructura afirmativa existen


reglas gramaticales para los verbos regulares (R).

(−) 𝑺 + 𝑫𝑰𝑫 𝑵𝑶𝑻 + 𝑽 + 𝑪


NOTA: En la estructura negativa aparece el auxiliar
DID NOT para todos los pronombres personales y el
verbo ya no tiene regla gramatical (R) o forma
propia
(I).

NOTA: Si se pregunta con YOU en singular se
responde con I, si se pregunta con YOU en plural se
responde con WE.

EJEMPLO

Enviaste un mensaje telefónico a tu madre

4. REGLAS ORTOGRÁFICAS
Se aplican en la estructura afirmativa (+) con verbos
regulares ®, los cuales se detallan en la siguiente
tabla:

Verbos que terminan en “E”

Live=Lived Love = Loved


Consonante + “Y”

Study=Studied Cry=Cried

Se reemplaza “y” por “i”, pronto aumenta


“ed” Monosílabos
Los verbos NO deben terminar en R, W, X y
les debe preceder una única vocal así:
Mix=Mixed (termina en “X” no se dobla consonante)

En los siguientes casos se dobla consonante:

Stop=Stopped Man=Manned (tripular)

Mas de una sílaba


Los verbos NO deben terminar en R, W, X y
les debe preceder una única vocal y el acento
debe recaer en la última sílaba así:

Admit=Admitted

Excepción

Occur=Occurred
Verbos que terminan en “C”

Si terminan en “C” se aumenta “K” + “ed”

Panic=Panicked Traffic=Trafficked
