Now let´s practice: Copy and translate the following text (Ahora practiquemos: copie y traduzca el siguiente texto)
Bullying is never ok. Those who bully use power to hurt people.
Power does not always mean bigger or stronger. Power can also
mean popular or smart. Or the kid doing the bullying may know a
secret about the kid being bullied.
Kids who bully can have other problems, too, even when they get
older, like using alcohol and drugs, getting into fights, and dropping
out of school.
Pero, recordemos que debemos buscar soluciones a las faltas cometidas, en este
caso, a las intimidaciones que hemos hecho, disculparnos y proponernos no
volverlo a hacer. Por eso, aprenderemos algunas expresiones que nos pueden
servir para lograrlo.
Expressions of apology
(Expresiones para pedir disculpas)
It was not my intention: No era mi intención
You are right, sorry: Tienes la razón, lo
siento Sorry if I ofended you: Lo siento si te
ofendí
Please, don’t be mad at me: Por favor, no te enojes conmigo
I´m sorry about that: Lamento eso
I apologize for the inconvenience: Pido disculpas por las molestias
You may be assured that this won´t happen again: Puede estar seguro de que
esto no volverá a suceder
