Olluco is an edible root tuber native to the Andes in Peru. Its appearance is similar to
that of a small potato, it is famous for its shape and variety of colors, it is also one of the
most produced in the country along with potatoes and sweet potatoes. It also has many
health benefits as it is highly nutritious and contains very few calories.

salud recomiendan consumir entre 3 a 4 veces a la semana el olluco. Como es un alimento
de fácil cultivo, resistente a las heladas y a la sequía moderada, está disponible todo el
año, en cualquier mercado y a precios accesibles.

centers recommend consuming olluco 3 to 4 times a week. As it is an easy-to-grow food,
resistant to frost and moderate drought, it is available all year round, in any market and
at affordable prices.
