Alguien presente dijo: “Es
la tumba de nuestro rey Tuts. Es como un cuento de hadas ".

DISCUSSION
Have you ever read about “hidden treasures”? When were they hidden and what did people
find?
R// Yes, I have read and I know of some, one of them is the treasure hidden in a house
where an old man lived, in a neighborhood called Cabañas, in San Luis Santa Barbara where
I live now, when he died we had to clean the house, because there was too much dust, all the
things were dirty, when we moved the bed we noticed that under it there was a carpet, We
removed it and saw that there was a board that was only on, curiosity made us remove it and
inside there was a small box, we immediately took it out and opened it, in the box there was
a lot of money and some gold chains, apparently the gentleman had kept that treasure for a
long time.
The Copán Ruins, considered by many to be one of the most spectacular cities of the
ancient Mayan civilization, is a complex of ruins known for its beautiful stone
temples, altars, hieroglyphics, and stelae. Today, it is one of the most popular
attractions in Honduras. However, unlike other tourist attractions in the region, the
Copan Ruins still retain their mystical aura of a city that is still somewhat lost, and
that is now being rediscovered.
But before being a tourist place, it was also the home of the Mayans. Today Copán
Ruins is considered the Mayan empire in Central America. Discovered in 1570 by
Diego García de Palacio, Copán is one of the most important remaining sites of the
Mayan civilization. Copán Ruins is the most important cultural destination in
Honduras. It is not only full of history and culture, but also many natural attractions
such as the bird park and hot springs. According to architects and archaeologists, the
Mayan ruins of Copán are the Mayan ruins with the best drainage in all of Central
America, despite not having such advanced technology as that of this time, they
managed to have an almost perfect drainage system.
