¿Qué es una canción?

• Es una forma musical para voz cantada,


acompañada por instrumentos musicales.
• Tiene una estructura en base a versos
intercalados por un coro o estribillo que
funciona como gancho pegadizo, fácilmente
reconocible.
Antecedentes
• Antes de que se creara y popularizara la canción habían
otras formas musicales similares que funcionaron como
inspiración para llevar a cabo este estilo tan escuchado
hasta el día de hoy.
• Cantigas: Poemas cantados por trovadores en los siglos XII y XIII,
popularmente en la península ibérica (España y Portugal).
• Chanson: Pieza musical francesa de la Edad Media y el
Renacimiento en la que se cantaba a dos o más voces.
Generalmente seguía una forma fija, Ej: Balada o Rondó (ronda
musical)
• Lied: Forma popular del Romanticismo alemán. Corresponde a
una musicalización de un poema, acompañado por piano de
forma sencilla y breve.
• Cantos folclóricos: Cantos populares de cada región que cuentan
con letra que usualmente relata algo característico de la cultura.
Canción moderna
• La canción moderna es el tipo de música
más escuchada en el mundo actual, y es
transmitida a través de grabaciones y
medios de comunicación a grandes
audiencias por todo el mundo. Tomó
forma en las ciudades europeas y
americanas en los siglos XIX y XX.
• Tienen autores conocidos, que pueden
grabar e interpretar ellos mismos las
canciones o trabajar para otros artistas
que las incorporarán a su repertorio.

• Las canciones populares casi siempre tienen una estructura bien definida:
