Grado Relativo de un Polinomio

Es el mayor exponente con respecto a una de sus variables (letras).

Ejemplo: Dado el polinomio
5 x 3 y  2 x 2 y 3  7 xy 8
G.R.( x )  3 G.R.(y )  8

Grado Absoluto de un Polinomio

“Está representado por su término de mayor grado”.
Ejemplo 1:
2 y 5 + 4 x 8 y – 6 x 8y 4
