SITUACIÓN SIGNIFICATIVA

Los estudiantes de la I.E. N° 80074 “María caridad Agüero de Arresse” de Puente Virú; tienen la necesidad de
aprender vocabulario cotidiano como es el de profesiones u ocupaciones, en la lengua extranjera que aprenden
para poder comunicarse en escenarios y con interlocutores diversos, por eso nos preguntamos:
¿Qué trabajos conocemos en inglés?
¿Qué características tienen las personas que realizan esos trabajos?
¿Qué actividades realizan las personas?
¿Puedo describir de manera oral y/o escrita trabajos u ocupaciones en inglés?

¿Qué vamos a aprender?

Leerás dos entradas de blog breves en inglés sobre dos personas y sus trabajos. Identificarás las estructuras y
el vocabulario que permitan describir las características de una persona y las actividades que realizan como
parte de sus trabajos. Finalmente, crearás una entrada de blog breve sobre una persona, describiendo lo que
realiza en su trabajo
PURPOSE
Crear dos fichas informativas describiendo el trabajo u ocupación de dos personas, el lugar y las cualidades que
le ayuden a realizar su empleo.

THE CHALLENGE
Create two short blog entries of people and include their job, workplace, characteristics, activities.

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Como resultado del trabajo en las actividades vamos a crear dos blogs de personas y vamos a incuir su
lugar de trabajo, características, actividades en inglés que debe incluir las siguientes características:
 Identificar información específica en textos cortos y simples en inglés con información sobre trabajos
y/u ocupaciones.
 Reconocer al menos seis trabajos u ocupaciones en inglés
 Usar correctamente los pronombres personales (“He”, She”- “They”) y los adjetivos posesivos (“His”-
 “Her”-“Their”)
 Elaborar un texto simple en inglés para hablar de la profesión u ocupación de una persona, siguiendo un

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Felix soto is a waiter at a restaurant in Iquitos. He was “employee of the month” in June
and July. Let’s learn a little bit more about him. He goes to work at 12:00pm. He works
really hard in the afternoons, evenings and sometimes at night too. First, he sets the
tables and greets customers at the door. Then, he takes their order. After the chef
finishes cooking the food the customers ordered, he takes it to each table. Felix likes his
job because his co-workers are very friendly and his boss always tries to make them
feel at home in the restaurant. Waiters and waitresses are quick and organised because
they need to place orders correctly. “waiters and waitresses are the face of the
restaurant” Felix often says.

her.
She starts work at 7:00 a.m. and buys the ingredients at the market.
She opens her food stand, cleans her utensils, greets her customers, and cooks for
them every morning and afternoon.
Rosi is veru friendly. She likes meeting new people every day. She says, “Street
vendors are charismatic, friendly and talkative” “My business is like my baby”, Rosi
