RESUMEN.
ABSTRACT.
Landscape analysis characterizes the structure and ecological functioning, to propose mitigation
strategies for environmental problems. The objective was to analyze the spatial configuration of
landscape elements in the department of Ucayali (Path 6 –Rath 66), based on LANDSAT 8 images
from 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Which were rectified and classified according to the types of
coverage, each one was analyzed with landscape metrics using Arcgis 10.8 software. In 2017, 90%
of the landscape corresponds to tall vegetation, with 95% aggregation and NDVI values> 0.4; light
vegetation constitutes 8% of the landscape and is composed of 1242 fragments, with dispersed
and disaggregated coverage, with NDVI values 0.1-0.2.;. The jungle / BMM is the coverage with the
highest connectivity index, so actions must be taken to conserve these areas and even increase
their surface, the presence of water must also be highlighted, which is 2% since water plays an
important role. in the Amazon and its influence also contributes to the ecological diversity, with
typically aquatic ecosystems, such as rivers and lakes.
