Recomendaciones para mantenimiento de condiciones óptimas de producto instalado por parte de usuario final
durante la vida útil de la edificación:

Acorde al DOP Declaration of Performance (Ver Anexo 2) No. 0749-CPR – 06/0206-2013/1 bajo la exclusiva
responsabilidad del fabricante, Promat adjunta la Declaración de Prestaciones que confirma una vida útil de al
menos 25 años para el uso específico Tipo Z2: (condiciones al interior excluyendo temperaturas de congelamiento
con clases de humedad diferentes a las del tipo Z1), Z1 (uso interno con altas condiciones de humedad), Y
(condiciones semi-expuestas al exterior). La declaración de prestaciones DOP para sistemas Promaspray®, se
emite a conformidad del ETAG 018-4 y se ratifica:
1. Con la durabilidad de acuerdo con ETAG es posible garantizar el rendimiento de fuego durante el tiempo,
y no sólo una degradación genérica baja del producto.
2. Considerando la vida útil prevista en la CE (50 años), los productos con mayor durabilidad (10 o 25 años)
pueden mantener razonablemente sus características a lo largo de la vida del edificio, sin necesidad de
mantenimiento o sustitución importante y / o extraordinario.
3. La durabilidad es clasificada por ETAG 018 bajo el nivel de Declaración de Conformidad, por lo que los
productos son seleccionados por el laboratorio y no por los productores, por lo tanto, los resultados son
aplicables a la producción estándar (y no a un producto especialmente preparado para pruebas)
4. Los ensayos se realizan en muestras «frescas» (después del secado) y en muestras después del
envejecimiento, sin mantenimiento. Si el rendimiento es el mismo, la prueba de durabilidad es positiva.
5. Durabilidad se define como el tiempo durante el cual un producto, en ciertas condiciones, mantiene su
rendimiento específico sin mantenimiento. Esto significa que, si la durabilidad se demuestra según ETAG
018, el producto mantendrá su rendimiento de fuego, sin ningún mantenimiento, durante todo el período
de durabilidad.

En consideración a lo establecido en la declaración de desempeño nos permitimos confirmar:

i. La responsabilidad sobre el mantenimiento del sistema cortafuego en referencia y todos sus componentes
incluyendo, la estructura, anclajes y lámina Promatect® H del sistema de partición 120 minutos son
responsabilidad exclusiva de la administración, departamento de mantenimiento de la edificación o en su
ausencia del propietario.
ii. El sistema Promatect® H, debe ser inspeccionado periódicamente para garantizar que no requiere
reparaciones. Se establece que pasado el periodo de 25 años establecido en el DOP las inspecciones deben
ser como mínimo anualmente para determinar si requiere algún tipo de reparación o ratificar que se
encuentra en condiciones óptimas tal como fue instalado y entregado al propietario.
iii. El sistema Promatect® H, debe ser inspeccionado inmediatamente, en los siguientes casos sin importar la
periodicidad indicada en el numeral iii del presente documento: modificaciones o alteraciones de
cualquier tipo en la edificación que circunden o afecten directamente el sistema incluyendo terremoto,
 incendio, inundación, penetración de agua por lluvia o fenómenos naturales, aberturas generadas por
penetraciones de cualquier instalación o servicio incluyendo servicios hidráulicos, eléctricos, bajo voltaje,
ventilación, extracción entre otros. Para la reparación se deberá contactar al Departamento Técnico
Promat en Colombia a través de nuestro servicio al cliente o al correo electrónico
contacto.colombia@etexgroup.com o a través de nuestra página web www.promat.com.co

En caso de presentarse cualquier abertura o fisura, en primera instancia se deberá verificar la integridad de la
lámina y verificar si puede ser reutilizada o reparada y si las aberturas pueden ser selladas con sistema cortafuego,
de lo contrario deberá ser reemplazada; así mismo se deberá verificar la condición de la estructura de acero
galvanizado y los anclajes, para determinar si están en condiciones óptimas y/o deberán ser reemplazados.

En caso de presentarse cualquier daño visible o no visible al exterior a causa de agua, humedad, lluvia o similares,
se deberá verificar la integridad del sistema y de la lámina para proceder con cualquier reparación.

El sistema solamente podrá ser mantenido o reparado en su acabado con masilla base yeso, y puede ser pintado
con pinturas acrílicas interior/exterior base agua. Otros recubrimientos y/u otros componentes pueden afectar su
perdurabilidad. No utilizar pinturas combustibles, ya que éstas pueden ser generadores de ignición o pueden
afectar el desempeño del sistema frente al fuego en caso de incendio.

El sistema no debe tener ninguna carga adicional a la calculada inicialmente, tales como enchapes u otros similares
sin verificar si la estructura cumple para tal efecto y/o en condiciones frías y en caso de incendio.

En el sistema de partición ya instalado y especificado para el cual se dio aval de cuelga de luminarias con pesos y
cargas específicas no se permite:
iv. Ningún tipo de perforación o anclajes para descolgar elementos decorativos, luminarias adicionales a las
previamente calculadas en el diseño y especificación inicial, servicios o instalaciones (eléctricas,
hidráulicas, ventilación, extracción, etc.) ya que dichas perforaciones pueden ocasionar fallas en el
desempeño del sistema y cargas adicionales que no han sido contempladas en términos de soporte
estructural en evento de incendio.
v. Sistemas de anclaje de cielos rasos, cielos falsos u otro tipo elementos decorativos. En caso de ser
necesarias dichas cargas o perforaciones adicionales se debe consultar al departamento técnico, ya que
puede ser requerido reforzamiento estructural para desempeño bajo evento de incendio o requerirse
reparaciones del sistema a causa de raspaduras, abolladuras, cortes u otras condiciones que expongan los
elementos estructurales que soportan la partición.
vi. El sistema Promatect® H, no deben estar expuesto a procedimientos y/o ningún tipo de reparación, o
actividad que pueda remover parcialmente secciones del mismo, ya que en evento de incendio la llama y
el humo podrán penetrar el sistema en la cara no expuesta al incendio y afectar el desempeño frente al
fuego.
vii. En caso de que algún procedimiento de mantenimiento parcial o total de la edificación que genere
modificaciones o daños parciales o totales a la partición tales como abolladuras, raspaduras, cortes ya
sean parciales o totales éstas deben ser reparadas por personal capacitado y certificado para dicha
instalación y acorde a las recomendaciones técnicas del Departamento técnico Promat.

2. Composition / Information on ingredients

Description: Silicate Fire Protective Board, in large dimensions, for
universal applications in preventive fire protection and in
technical high temperature insulation.

Chemical characterisation This product is a manufactured article, not a substance nor a

preparation.
It is manufactured from a combination of cement, sand,
cellulose and selected fillers. Asbestos-free autoclaved
product.

3. Hazard Identification
Indication of the hazards: The installed product in its final application: no hazards
known.

When machining (drilling, cutting, sanding, etc.) the product:

airborne dust can be released.
- As with most types of nuisance dust, excessive
inhalation of dust may cause irritation of the
airways.
- Eye contact with dust may lead to transient eye
irritation or inflammation.
- Prolonged skin contact may lead to skin irritation.

7. Handling and storage

Handling: Instructions for handling and machining
- Dust, generated during machining and processing must be
exhausted and the regulatory occupational exposure limits
for total and respirable dust must be respected.
- Work in a well ventilated area.
- Use tools with appropriate dust exhaust equipment.
- When total dust concentration is higher than occupational
exposure limits (refer to local regulations), or when dust
extraction is not available, use individual respiratory
protective equipment.
- Collect dust with a vacuum cleaner or soak with water
before sweeping up.
Storage: Store in dry, covered and frost proof area.

When machining (drilling, cutting, sanding, etc.) boards, respect Occupational Exposure Limits
for inhalable and respirable dust and for respirable quartz dust.

acute toxicity. Apart from mild skin, throat, airway or eye
irritation, workers producing these boards have reported no
significant health complaints.
