Instructions, to be read by an adult

1. Today, we are going to practice some of our skills like using the search bar on the
windows taskbar, using the text option to write our names, and saving our work
once it is finished.
2. In this lesson, we are making a completely free drawing, which means you decide
what you want to draw, and please be as creative as possible and use as many
colours as you like.
(1. Hoy, vamos a practicar algunas de nuestras habilidades, como usar la barra de búsqueda en
la barra de tareas de Windows, usar la opción de texto para escribir nuestros nombres y
guardar nuestro trabajo una vez que haya terminado.
2. En esta lección, haremos un dibujo completamente libre, lo que significa que tu decides lo
que quieres dibujar, y por favor trata de ser lo más creativo posible y utiliza todos los colores
que quieras)
3. Let´s start by creating a new paint
document. This is something we have done
many times. We are going to use the
windows taskbar to search for Paint,
sometimes we just need to type the ¨P¨ and
we see the program in the results.
(Comencemos creando un nuevo documento de
Microsoft Paint. Esto es algo que hemos hecho muchas
veces. Vamos a utilizar la barra de tareas de Windows
para buscar Paint, a veces solo tenemos que escribir ¨P¨
y vemos el programa en los resultados.)

4. Then, we can get to work on out paint document. Here is mine, I hope you all like
it. It was a bit difficult to make, it is a ship on the oceano. (Luego, podemos ponernos a
trabajar en nuestro documento de Paint. Aquí está el mío, espero que les guste a todos. Fue un poco
difícil de hacer, es un barco en el océano.):

After you complete your drawing, remember to write your name with big bright
colors. Remember that for this you need the text tool that looks like an A, then
you select the color, the size and the letters you want to use. (Después de completar tu
dibujo, recuerda escribir tu nombre con grandes colores brillantes. Recuerda que para esto necesitas la
herramienta de texto que se parece a una ¨ A ¨, luego selecciona el color, el tamaño y las letras que
desea usar.)
I decided to make my letters yellow because I wanted them to stand out. (Decidí que mis
letras fueran amarillas porque quería que se destacaran.)

Once you finish your work it´s time to save it. We usually use this button to save,
but today we are going to do it a different way… (Una vez que termine su trabajo, es hora
de guardarlo. Usualmente usamos este botón para guardar, pero hoy vamos a hacerlo de una manera
diferente ...)
 We are going to click on the file button
and then on the save tab. (Vamos a hacer clic
en el botón de archivo y luego en la pestaña
Guardar.)

 6. This way of saving is found in many of the programs we use and it works the
same way. (Esta forma de salvar se encuentra en muchos de los programas que utilizamos y funciona
de la misma manera.)
Note: I would love to get your pictures but the real focus of today is creating that
document and saving it using this new way. It´s ok if you just practice it and let me
know how it went. (Nota: Me encantaría obtener sus fotos, pero el enfoque real de hoy es crear ese
documento y guardarlo utilizando esta nueva forma. Está bien si lo practicas y me cuentas cómo te fue.)
