viales.
Abstract
Through the methodology of the zoning of threat, vulnerability and risk posed by the Colombian
geological service (SGC), the levels of threat and risk in the Guayabetal-Colombia municipality could
be evaluated by making a preliminary base of 5 maps: geology, land use, slopes of the area, precipitation
and landslide history. in addition, a last map was made as a result of the grouping of the maps mentioned
using the map algebra technique. For this purpose, data were collected from both DEAM and the
mayor's office of the Guayabetal municipality, comparing and validating them with information
provided by the Colombian Geological Service (SGC).
With the information obtained and collected in the development of the maps, a series of conclusions
could be reached to be able to perceive the triggers of possible landslide threats due to mass movements
near the study area of the tertiary roads, factors such as high rainfall in low areas of the municipality,
inadequate land uses, high slopes, among other aspects, to finish. a map was subsequently designed that
records information on soil characteristics as well as external factors in order to determine levels of
landslide threats due to movements in high, medium or lowering of the tertiary road network as
stipulated in the guidelines for the zoning of threat by mass movements 1: 25000 and methodology for
the study by threat, vulnerability and risk of mass movements of the Colombian geological service
(SGC). The foregoing to implement not very complex techniques that allow a better degree of knowledge
of the threats in the territory and thus benefit the community and its inhabitants as well as municipal
organizations with a view to improving the conditions of this type of road works.
