Sistemas oscilantes con varios grados de libertad
Sistemas en los que se necesitan mas de una variable para definir su estado
dinámico:
Sistemas masa-resorte acoplados
Masas acopladas:
𝑘 𝑢2 − 𝑢1 − 𝑘𝑢1 = 𝑚𝑢1
→ 𝑢1 → 𝑢2
−𝑘𝑢2 − 𝑘 𝑢2 − 𝑢1 = 𝑚𝑢2
𝑢1 𝑡 = 𝑈1 𝑒 𝑖(𝑤𝑡+𝜑)
2 modos normales
𝑢2 𝑡 = 𝑈2 𝑒 𝑖(𝑤𝑡+𝜑)

Prob. Two equal masses are connected as shown with two
identical massless springs of spring constant k. Considering only
motion in the vertical direction, find the angular frequencies of
the two normal modes. (Note: You need not consider the
gravitational forces acting on the masses, because they are
independent of the displacements and hence do not contribute
to the restoring forces that cause the oscillations. The
gravitational forces merely cause a shift in the equilibrium
positions of the masses, and you do not have to find what those
shifts are.)

Sistemas oscilantes (ejemplos varios)
Prob. Se tiene el conjunto de poleas de masa despreciables, una cuerda
inextensible y muelles como muestra la figura. Se pide, considerando
pequeñas oscilaciones:
a) El D. C .L.
b) La ecuación de movimiento de la masa m.
c) La frecuencia de las oscilaciones
