EL VERBO «TO BE»
The verb "to be" translates as "ser o estar", it is used to talk about names, to tell someone's age, to talk about mood and emotions, also
to talk about nationalities and to talk about professions
El verbo “to be” se traduce como “ser o estar” , este nos sirve para hablar sobre nombres, para decir la edad de alguien, para hablar
del estado de ánimo y las emociones , también para hablar sobre las nacionalidades y para hablar de las profesiones
1. Para hablar de nombres: Ella es Sheila. - She is Sheila.
2. Para hablar de edad: Él tiene seis años de edad. - He is 6 years old.
3. Para expresar emociones: Daniel y Sandra están felices. – daniel and Sandra are happy.
4. Para hablar de nacionalidades: Nosotros somos de Colombia - We are from Colombia
5. Para hablar de profesiones: Tú eres un estudiante , ella es una ingeniera. - You are a student , she is an engineer.

3. To express emotions: Daniel and Sandra are happy. - Daniel and Sandra are happy.
4. To talk about nationalities: We are from Colombia - We are from Colombia
5. To talk about professions: You are a student, she is an engineer. - You are a student, she is an engineer.

To use the verb to be, we must use some words called "auxiliaries" that serve so that the pronouns can be properly formed as in the
following examples:
Para usar el verbo to be ,nosotros debemos usar unas palabras llamadas “auxiliares” que sirven para que los pronombre se puedan
formar adecuadamente como en los siguientes ejemplos:

Los adjetivos posesivos en inglés hacen referencia al poseedor o propietario de un objeto y no a la objeto de propiedad y normalmente
van antes de los sustantivos (personas,animales,cosas,lugares) que indican partes del cuerpo, parentesco, vestimenta y objetos
personales

DEMOSTRATIVE ADJECTIVE

Los adjetivos demostrativos o demonstrative adjectives en ingles se usan para distinguir objetos, personas, lugares o
animales y decir la ubicación de estos mismo y la cantidad que mencionamos.
En ingles normalmente encontramos 4 tipos de adjetivos demostrativos THIS//THAT//THESE//THOSE
UN SUSTANTIVO POR LO GENERAL SE REFIERE A ( COSAS.PERSONAS,LUGARES,ANIMALES ETC)

1. THIS is a demonstrative adjective used before a singular noun to speak of something that is close to the speaker.
2. THAT, is a demonstrative adjective used before a singular noun to speak of something that is not far from the
speaker.
3. THESE, a demonstrative adjective used before a plural noun to talk about things that are close to the speaker.
4. THOSE, a demonstrative adjective used before a plural noun to talk about things that is not far from the speaker

1. THIS, es un adjetivo demostrativo que se usa antes de un sustantivo singular para hablar de algo que está cerca
del hablante.
2. THAT, es un adjetivo demostrativo que se usa antes de un sustantivo singular para hablar de algo que no está lejos
del hablante.
3. THESE, un adjetivo demostrativo que se usa antes de un sustantivo plural para hablar de cosas que están cerca del
hablante.
4. THOSE, un adjetivo demostrativo que se usa antes de un sustantivo plural para hablar de cosas que no está lejos
del hablante.
