Buenos días jóvenes, en esta segunda semana vamos a continuar viendo el

presente continuo o progresivo, esta vez es una lectura, cuya traducción
encontraras al final de la misma, así mismo hay un vocabulario que te ayudara
a entender el texto, tu actividad es de comprensión de texto donde tendrás que
responder las preguntas que se encuentran al final, tus respuestas deben ser
en inglés, y las podrás encontrar en el mismo texto. No olvides subir el archivo
con tu nombre año y sección.

Family Celebration in Peru
Hello this is Jack reporting from the Annual Family Celebration in Lima, Peru.
People are having a wonderful time. Most men are cooking a traditional dish
called Ceviche. Some women are playing hide-and-seek with their children. The
elderly are listening to old music and telling stories from the past.
I am here with Mario Velasco, the event organizer, and I want to ask him a
couple of questions:
Reporter: Mario, how long is the event?
Mario: Well, it started yesterday at 7 am and it’ll finish tomorrow at 9 pm with a
concert.
Reporter: Is this event meaningful for Peruvian families?
Mario: Yes, absolutely. Just look at the people. They are laughing, dancing or
just relaxing.
Reporter: Thank Mario for your time and for the event.

Celebración familiar en Ecuador
Hola soy Jack informando desde la Celebración Anual de la Familia en Lima,
Perú. La gente está pasando un tiempo maravilloso. La mayoría de los
hombres están cocinando un plato tradicional llamado Ceviche. Algunas
mujeres están jugando al escondite con sus hijos. Los ancianos están
escuchando música antigua y contando historias del pasado.
Estoy aquí con Mario Velasco, el organizador del evento, y quiero hacerle un
par de preguntas:
Reportero: Mario, ¿cuánto tiempo dura el evento?
Mario: Bueno, comenzó ayer a las 7 de la mañana y que va a terminar mañana
a las 9 pm con un concierto.
Reportero: ¿Es este evento significativo para las familias Peruanas?
Mario: Sí, absolutamente. Basta con mirar a la gente. Están riéndose, bailando
o simplemente relajándose.
Reportero: Gracias Mario por su tiempo y por el evento.
