Nikola Tesla nació el 10 de julio de 1856, en
lo que hoy es Smiljan, en la provincia servia
de Lika, llamada entonces Croacia
(Yugoslavia), y falleció de un paro cardíaco a
los 87 años en New york el 7 de enero de
1943.
Nikola Tesla fue un inventor, ingeniero
eléctrico, ingeniero mecánico y físico de
origen serbocroata. Se le conoce sobre todo
por sus numerosas invenciones en el campo
del electromagnetismo, desarrolladas a
finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX
Cuando tenía 17 años, Tesla fue infectado
por el cólera. Estuvo cerca de no
recuperarse, pero finalmente se curó. Poco
antes su padre le prometió que, de
conseguirlo, le enviaría a una gran escuela
de ingeniería, justo como él quería. Así que
previo paso por el ejército, ingresó en
la Universidad Politécnica de Graz, en
Austria.
Comenzó a germinar la idea que marcaría su
vida: idear una forma para que la energía
gratuita llegase a todo el mundo. Pero a
finales del siglo XIX estos dos grandes
personajes se enfrentarían por el poder y el
futuro de la electricidad

existia , en cambio tesla creyo en la corriente
alterna la cual permitia generar electricidad
a gran escala desde un generador

realized his idea was much better and that in
no way was he going to allow a foreigner
who had just arrived in the city to take away
his fame and jeopardize that kind of
electrical empire that he managed to raise
