step has been a fitness favorite for 18 years for very good reasons. While it is designed to strengthen knees, its a fabulous cardiovascular workout. step uses many more muscles than any other type of cardio training, thus reducing the risk of overuse injuries. plus, the effort made to learn the moves is wonderful for the brain. While this class is designed for people who are familiar with step, anyone who is interested should sign up as you will become quite comfortable with the moves within a few weeks. Walter Reed Center.

restorative yoga, which consists of supported relaxation postures held for a prolonged period of time (usually around five minutes or so), provides the body and mind with a designated time for healing, rest, and integration. it is excellent for pregnant women, whose bodies and minds are constantly working to literally create life inside of them. restorative yoga is a perfect way to help your body rest and regenerate in order to complete this profound and instinctual task of creation. it also allows your mind a rest from the stresses and anxieties you may be feeling during pregnancy and in preparation for birth. For women trying to conceive, restorative yoga has similar effects preparing and healing the body and mind in order to make space for conception. Langston-Brown Center. Inst.:
