1 .-OPEN END WRENCH

-This tool is called open end wrench.

-This wrench is a turning tool used to tighten

or loosen.
2 .-BOX END WRENCH
-This tool is called box end wrench.

-The box end wrench will no slip off the nut when
pressure or force is applied.
 3 .-COMBINATION WRENCH
-The wrench in picture is called a combination
wrench.

-A combination wrench has an open-end

wrench on one end and a box end wrench on
the other end.
4 .- SOCKET WRENCH
HANDLE
-The socket handle pictured in figure is called a
hinge or flex handle.

-It is jointed so that it can be used at any angle.

 5 .- ELECTRIC GRINDER
-The power tool shown in figure is an electric
grinder.

-The motor rotates two hard stone abrasive wheels.

-This tool is used to sharpen.

 6 .-RACHET HANDLE
-The handle pictured in figure is the ratchet handle.

-There is a mechanism in the ratchet head that lets the

handle apply force in one direction but turn free in the
opposite direction.
 7 .- TORQUE WRENCH HANDLE
-The handle pictured in figure is a torque
wrench handle.

-Torque means turning force.

-A torque wrench handle measures the turning

force applied when thightening a nut or bolt.
 8 .-MICROMETERS
-The precision measuring tool in figure is an outside
micrometer.

-Measuring tool that will measure differences of one hundredth

of an inch (0.01 inch), one thousandth of an inch (0.001 inch).
 9 .-ELECTRIC DRILL

-The tool shown in figure is an electric drill.

-The electric drill uses an electric motor to

rotate the drill bit in the chuck.
10.-ELECTRIC DRILL
PRESS

-The tool shown in figure is an electric drill press.

-The electric drill press is a large drill that is used

for precision drilling or for heavy or large work.
