DIFERENCIA ENTRE PAST SIMPLE Y PAST CONTINUOUS Estas oraciones son dos oraciones de tiempo que indica que

una accin estaba sucediendo (esa oracin va en pasado continuo) cuando otra la interrumpe (pasado simple).

I was sleeping when the telephone rang. En ejemplo anterior, la primera oracin: I WAS SLEEPING es la accin que estaba sucediendo y es la que va en Pasado Continuo. La segunda oracin: WHEN THE TELEPHONE RANG es la accin que interrumpe y es la que ponemos en pasado simple. El pasado simple y el pasado continuo suele cumplir el siguiente esquema: 1.
