Estas instrucciones de uso facilitan las informaciones y advertencias para un uso seguro de los productos
El usuario debe asegurarse que el instrumento seleccionado es el adecuado para dispositivo en el que debe encajar y es adecuado
para los fines y procedimientos previstos.
Pacientes
Los pacientes destinatarios de los implantes dentales fabricados por la empresa Titanimplant S.L. son personas que presentan
edentulismo parcial o total y requieren la reposición de piezas dentales.
No está recomendado el uso de los implantes dentales en niños, ni en pacientes que no hayan finalizado la fase de crecimiento
mandibular.
No se conoce limitación de una edad máxima, en los pacientes que requieran un tratamiento con implantes dentales. Siempre que
tengan buenas condiciones de salud.
Usuarios
Los usuarios de los Instrumentos de Odontoestomatología Reutilizables KUBIDENT son profesionales de la Odontoestomatología,
cualificados según los requisitos y normativas vigentes del sector y los colegios profesionales en el sector implantológico dental y que
hayan recibido la pertinente formación, pudiéndose ser odontólogos, implantólogos y cirujanos maxilofaciales.
• Fresa Piloto.
La fresa Piloto se indica para la realización de una perforación inicial de la cortical ósea, para facilitar el uso posterior de las
fresas quirúrgicas.
• Fresas Quirúrgicas.
Las fresas quirúrgicas se utilizan para la creación de una perforación en el soporte óseo del paciente, donde se alojará un
implante dental. Esta perforación se realiza mediante el paso secuencial incremental de fresas de diferentes diámetros. Este
paso secuencial de fresas de diferente diámetro se denomina protocolo quirúrgico.
• Fresa Avellanadora.
La fresa Avellanadora se utiliza para la adaptación del alveolo implantario creado por las fresas quirúrgicas a la geometría de la
parte cervical del implante con la finalidad de reducir el esfuerzo de inserción del implante en su alveolo implantario.
• Fresa Esférica.
La fresa esférica se utiliza para la preparación del soporte óseo del paciente en aquellos casos en que se presenten crestas
estrechas donde se dificulte la operativa para la preparación del alveolo implantario por falta de espacio.
• Topes fresa.
Los topes de profundidad son elementos que se instalan en las fresas quirúrgicas y tienen la finalidad de reducir la longitud de
corte de las fresas quirúrgicas, aportando seguridad al usuario para la consecución de la profundidad de fresado requerida al
preparar el alveolo implantario donde se instalará el implante dental.

Instrucciones de uso
Las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT siguen un proceso de fabricación, control y limpieza exhaustivo antes de su envasado.
Las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT se presentan envasadas unitariamente, o formando parte de los kits de cirugía, en estado no estéril.
Antes de su uso deben ser esterilizados. Este proceso se realizará en las instalaciones del cliente.
El envase presenta una etiqueta en la que se facilitan las siguientes informaciones: referencia, descripción del producto y número de
lote.
Las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT son reutilizables. Antes de su reutilización, deben ser lavados y esterilizados.
Contraindicaciones
Las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT no se deben utilizar en pacientes que, desde el punto de vista médico, no estén en condiciones de
recibir el tratamiento con implantes dentales previsto.
Efectos secundarios
No se conocen efectos secundarios relacionados con la utilización de las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT.
Advertencias y precauciones
Las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT son productos reutilizables. Antes de su reutilización deben ser limpiados y esterilizados.
Se recomienda asegurarse de que la Fresas de cirugía KUBIDENT utilizada es adecuada para la secuencia de fresado del implante que
se está tratando de colocar.
Las Fresas de cirugía KUBIDENT están sometidas a desgaste por su uso, siendo responsabilidad del usuario la renovación periódica
de estos productos. Titanimplant, S.L. aconseja comprobar el estado de corte de las fresas de cirugía antes de proceder a su uso y
recomienda su sustitución después de 20 usos.
Durante el uso de las fresas de cirugía es de obligado cumplimiento una correcta irrigación para evitar el sobrecalentamiento óseo
que puede provocar el fallo del implante.
Las fresas de cirugía presentan para el usuario, riesgos de cortes dado que se tratan de objetos cortantes y punzantes.
Las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT deben conservarse correctamente identificados.
Se aconseja que las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT se almacenen en lugar seco y protegidos de la luz solar.
Durante el uso intraoral de las Fresas de Cirugía KUBIDENT se deben tomar precauciones obligatorias para evitar la aspiración
accidental / ingestión por parte del paciente.
Limitación sobre la reutilización El producto puede ser reutilizado mientras no se observe desgaste o deterioros que
afecten a la funcionalidad del mismo.
INSTRUCCIONES
Preparación antes de la limpieza No se requiere
Limpieza manual − Eliminar meticulosamente todos los residuos postoperatorios que hayan
quedado adheridos en la superficie del instrumento. Para esta labor utilizar un
cepillo de cerdas de nylon.
Advertencias:
− No utilizar productos de limpieza o desinfección, a base de cloro o ácidos.
− Evitar todo producto que contenga un aldehído, dada la capacidad de estos para
fijar las proteínas.
Aclarado − Inmediatamente después de proceder al proceso de limpieza, aclarar con agua
destilada y secar meticulosamente. Un secado incorrecto puede ser causa de
aparición de puntos de oxidación superficial en las fresas.
Envasado − Introducir el producto en un envase o bolsa adecuado para su esterilización y
que garantice la no contaminación hasta su uso definitivo.
Esterilización − Se recomienda el proceso de esterilización de vapor mediante autoclave. Los
parámetros recomendados según EN-ISO 17665-1 son:
Temperatura: 134°
Ciclo de esterilizado: 4’

Las fresas quirúrgicas presentan una serie de marcas indelebles que permiten al usuario conocer la profundidad de perforación
alcanzada.
Existen a disposición del usuario, topes de profundidad que utilizados en combinación de las fresas quirúrgicas permiten controlar la
profundidad de fresado requerida para la inserción del implante.
La longitud de las fresas quirúrgicas es 1 mm más larga que la longitud nominal del implante, deberá ser tenida en cuenta esta
sobredimensión al fresar cerca de estructuras anatómicas vitales. En la imagen que se incluye a continuación puede apreciarse esta
dimensión adicional de la fresa respecto al implante.

Read these instructions for use before using the instruments supplied by Titanimplant S.L.
These instructions for use provide information and warnings for the safe use of the products
The user must ensure that the selected instrument is suitable for the device in which it must fit and is suitable for the intended
purposes and procedures.
Product description
These instructions for use describe the KUBIDENT Surgery Drills (Surgery Drill and Drill Stoppers) manufactured by Titanimplant S.L.
KUBIDENT Drill are for use in combination with KUBIDENT dental implants.
Pilot drill, surgery drills, countersink drill, and spherical drill are made of stainless steel.
The drill stoppers are made of Titanium Ti6AL4V (Titanium grade 5)
Patients
The recipient patients of the dental implants manufactured by the company Titanimplant S.L. are people who present partial or total
edentulism and require the replacement of teeth.
The use of dental implants in children or in patients who have not completed the mandibular growth phase is not recommended.
There is no known limitation of a maximum age in patients who require treatment with dental implants. As long as they have good
health conditions.
Users
The users of the KUBIDENT Surgical Drills are professionals of the Odontostomatology, qualified according to the requirements and
regulations in force of the sector and the professional associations in the dental implant sector and who have received the pertinent
training, being able to be dentists, implantologists and maxillofacial surgeons.
• Pilot Drill.
The Pilot drill is indicated for the realization of an initial perforation of the bone cortical, to facilitate the subsequent use of
surgical drills.
• Surgical drills.
Surgical drills are used for the creation of a perforation in the patient's bone support, where a dental implant will be housed. This
drilling is done by the incremental sequential passage of drills of different diameters. This sequential step of drills of different
diameter is called a surgical protocol.
• Countersink Drill.
The Countersink is used for the adaptation of the implant alveolus created by surgical cutters to the geometry of the cervical part
of the implant in order to reduce the insertion effort of the implant into its implant alveolus.
• Spherical Drill.
The spherical drill is used for the preparation of the patient's bone support in those cases in which narrow ridges are present
where the operation for the preparation of the implant alveolus is difficult due to lack of space.
• Drill stoppers.
The depth stoppers are elements that are installed in surgical drills and have the purpose of reducing the length of cutting of
surgical drills, providing security to the user to achieve the depth of drilling required when preparing the implant alveolus where
the dental implant will be installed.

Contraindications
KUBIDENT Surgery Drills should not be used in patients who, from a medical point of view, are not in a position to receive the intended
dental implant treatment.
Side effects
There are no known side effects related to the use of KUBIDENT Surgery Drills.
Limitation on reuse The product can be reused as long as there is no wear or deterioration that affects
its functionality.
INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation before cleaning Not required
Manual cleaning − Meticulously remove all postoperative residues that have been adhered to the
surface of the instrument. For this work use a nylon bristle brush.
Warnings:
− Do not use cleaning or disinfection products, based on chlorine or acids.
− Avoid any product that contains an aldehyde, given the ability of aldehyde to fix
proteins.
Rinsing − Immediately after proceeding to the cleaning process, rinse with distilled water
and dry meticulously. Incorrect drying can cause surface oxidation points to
appear in drills.
Packaging − Introduce the product in a container or bag suitable for sterilization and that
guarantees non-contamination until its final use.
Sterilization − The process of steam sterilization by autoclave is recommended. The
recommended parameters according to EN-ISO 17665-1 are:

Surgical drills have a series of indelible marks that allow the user to know the depth of perforation reached.
The length of surgical drills is 1 mm longer than the nominal length of the implant, this oversize should be taken into account when
drilling near vital anatomical structures. In the image below you can see this additional dimension of the drill with respect to the
implant.
The marks are made by laser marking of the cutting surface of the surgical drills.
KUBIDENT Surgery drills are reusable instruments.
KUBIDENT Surgery drills presents its connection to the contra-angle in accordance with ISO 1797-1
Device removal
Safely dispose of contaminated devices in accordance with current local health guidelines. It is recommended that the disposal be
carried out by a biological waste management company.
