¿Cuándo uso el Past Simple?
● Cuando hablamos de algo que pasó en el pasado. Equivale al pretérito indefinido en
español y suele usarse con adverbios como last year, yesterday, last Monday...
Did you meet your boss last Monday?
Tom stayed at Mandy’s yesterday.
Did they really walk to school this morning? It’s far from home!

Jack's grandmother went to lots of concerts. = Jack’s grandmother used to go to
lots of concerts.

Used to VS. Would
Además de ✨ used to + verbo ✨(solía…), también podemos usar would para acciones
que hacíamos normalmente en el pasado.
All teenagers used to scream at pop concerts = all teenagers would scream at pop
concerts
I would go up to town on my own = I used to go up to town on my own.
I’ve been to the shops this morning (solo está bien si sigue siendo por la mañana).
I went to the shops this morning (solo se usa si ya no es por la mañana).
I spent this afternoon writing an essay (solo si ya no es medio día).
