The Wone S Role in The IIWW (Finnish Amry)
The Wone S Role in The IIWW (Finnish Amry)
commemorating the unforgettable events of World War II. Thanks to sources, it can be
affirmed that Finland played a role of recognizable importance for various reasons,
including the military conflict with the Soviet Union (Winter War 1939-1940) and the
Continuation War (1941-44).
As is well known, between the years 1939 and 1945, Finland faced three wars: the
Winter War, whose objective was to halt the Soviet invasion (November 1939-March
1940); the so-called Continuation War (June 1941-1944), in which it joined Nazi
Germany as a "brother in arms" rather than an official ally to confront the Soviet Union,
and; the Lapland War (September 1944-April 1945), which aimed to expel German
troops from the northern Finnish region.
