definidas.
Puntos de la Corriente de Magnetización
Inrush
Solución:
Paso 1 –
Calcular el FLA
FLA = 1000kVA / (1.732 x 4.16kV) = 139 amps
Paso 2 –
Determinar la Categoría Aplicable
Corresponde a una Categoria II de transformador
basado en la capacidad nominal de 1000kVA
Paso 3 –
I 1800 sec = 2 x 139 amps = 278 amps
I 300 sec = 3 x 139 amps = 417 amps
I 60 sec = 4.75 x 139 amps = 660 amps
I 30 sec = 6.3 x 139 amps = 876 amps
I 10 sec = 11.3 x 139 amps = 1571 amps
I 2 sec = 25 x 139 amps = 3475 amps
I 1800 sec = 0.58 x 2 x 139 amps = 161 amps
I 300 sec = 0.58 x 3 x 139 amps = 242 amps
I 60 sec = 0.58 x 4.75 x 139 amps = 383 amps
I 4.08 sec
I 30 sec = 0.58 x 6.3 x 139 amps = 508 amps
I 10 sec = 0.58 x 11.3 x 139 amps = 911 amps I 2 sec
I 2 sec = 0.58 x 25 x 139 amps = 2016 amps
Paso 4 –
I 2 sec = 139 amps / Z = 139 amps / 0.06 = 2316 amps
I 4.08 sec = 0.7 x 139 amps / Z = 97.3 amps / 0.06 = 1622 amps
t 1622 amps = 2551 (0.06)2 = 9.2 segundos
Referido al Primario, escalar por 0.58.
I 2 sec = 0.58 x 139 amps / 0.06 = 1344 amps
I 4.08 sec = 0.58 x 97.3 amps / 0.06 = 941 amps
Paso 5 –
Calcular Puntos de Inrush Fig. 1 1000kVA, Δ-YG, liquid-immersed transformer damage curves
Inrush12 = 12 x 139 amps = 1668 amps
Inrush25 = 25 x 139 amps = 3475 amps The results are plotted in figure 1.
Ejemplo 3
FLA = 1500kVA / (1.732 x 13.8kV) = 62.8 amps
I100 sec = 0.87 x 3.5 x 62.8 amps = 191 amps
I10 sec = 0.87 x 11.2 x 62.8 amps = 612 amps
I2 sec = 0.87 x 25 x 62.8 amps = 1366 amps
Step 4 – Calculate Inrush Points
Inrush12 = 12 x 62.8 amps = 754 amps
Inrush25 = 25 x 62.8 amps = 1570 amps Fig. 3 1500kVA, Δ- Δ, dry-type transformer damage curves
Transformadores.
E-rated power fuses are typically used in fused switches serving MV transformers.
Class J (<600A) and Class L (>600A) fuses are typically used in fused switches serving
LV transformers. The fuse characteristics are plotted on a phase TCC along with the
transformer and feeder damage curves.
The purpose of the fuse is to allow for full use of the transformer, and to protect the
transformer and cable from faults. To accomplish this, the fuse curve should be to
the right of the transformer inrush point and to the left of the cable damage curve.
Typically the fuse will cross the transformer damage curve. The secondary main
device provides overcurrent protection for the circuit.
Suggested margins are listed below that have historically allowed for safe operation of the
transformer and cable while reducing instances of nuisance trips.
