El propósito del Instituto Educativo CORPESA es brindar una enseñanza del


idioma Inglés como Segunda Lengua de forma intensiva, con una alta calidad,
académica; asimismo en el área docente.

Nuestra finalidad es ser puente para ayudar a los hablantes no nativos a adquirir
destrezas en este idioma; tan necesarias para alcanzar sus metas académicas,
profesionales, sociales y personales.

Nuestra forma de educar es comunicativa. Nos enfocamos en brindarles a los


estudiantes la oportunidad de usar el inglés, además de enseñarles cómo ser más
efectivos con el lenguaje. Las clases son centradas en el alumnado, de tal manera
que puedan discutir lecturas, escribir y efectuar evaluaciones escritas, hacer
presentaciones, sintetizar ideas de forma oral y escrita, escuchar y comentar
noticias. Le exigimos a los estudiantes utilizar más de una habilidad a la vez, de la
misma manera como lo hacen quienes hablan inglés como primer idioma.
Combinando lectura y conversación, audio y escritura, o las cuatro al mismo
tiempo. En el aula, alumnos y profesores sólo se comunican en inglés. Las tareas
constituyen una parte regular de los cursos en todos sus niveles, promoviendo un
mayor desarrollo de cada área.

PERFIL DEL ESTUDIANTE: El alumno visualiza el estudio del idioma y cultura


extranjera como algo valioso e importante, participa en actividades que mejorarán la
adquisición del idioma. El alumno es capaz de dar presentaciones en inglés, usando
gestos apropiados y pronunciando correctamente. Utilizará su criterio para evaluar su
propia efectividad y la de otros en discusión de grupo y presentaciones formales. Es
capaz de discriminar palabras o términos técnicos. Comprenderá los principios
gramaticales del idioma inglés, así como sus aplicaciones en el ámbito empresarial.
Conocerá, pronunciará y comprenderá el vocabulario adecuado para poder aplicarlo al
campo laboral.

Important Notes Teachers

The book is a required for the course and it may be used in its 100%
The use of the language is important so the class must be in English
The student can lose the course with 2 or more absences.
The less score to pass the course is 70. If the student gets from 60 to 69, the scholar has
the opportunity to pay for the make-up test which costs 10.000 colones.
There are some optional games which you can apply in the classroom, if you have another
creative idea, you will apply it.

What’s the difference between Color and Colour?

Both words mean the same and its spelling depends on the country where
the word is written. The word Color is used in United States. The word Colour
is used in the rest of the English-speaking countries (England, Australia, NZ,

INDEFINITE ARTICLES
The indefinite article A is used with words that begins with consonants and
AN is used with words that begins with vowels.

Examples

 I need a phone.
 Mark wants a bicycle.
 That is an excellent book.
 This is an apple.

REMEMBER: You cannot use A / AN with plural nouns because A / AN means


"one" or "a single".

Example

 I have a cars. INCORRECT


 I have cars. CORRECT

DEFINITE ARTICLE

THE is called a definite article. "Definite" means "specific". Use THE when
talking about something which is already known to the listener or which has
been previously mentioned, introduced, or discussed.

Examples

 I have a cat. The cat is black.


 There is a book in my backpack. The book is very heavy.
 Nobody lives on the Moon.

IMPORTANT: You can use THE with both singular nouns and plural nouns.
