Marruecos es un pais del continente africano situado al norte de África y se

encuentra separado de Europa por el estrecho de Gibraltar.

Este pais limita con España, Argelia y Mauritania además tiene costa en el océano
Atlántico y el mar mediterráneo. Sahara occidental fue reconocido parte de
marruecos en el año 2020 por EE.UU.
Desde el año1994 se encuentra cerrada la frontera de Marruecos y Argelia,
“Ligados por vínculos familiares, étnicos, culturales, religiosos y lingüísticos que
deberían ser la base para unas relaciones amistosas y mutuamente beneficiosas,
llevan décadas de enfrentamientos diplomáticos, políticos e incluso militares que el
tiempo no solo no ha suavizado, sino que ha ido empeorando a pesar de períodos
de cierta distensión”. (PIQUÉ, 2021) Para tener mayor contexto sobre esta
situación es importante resaltar que estos dos países llevan años y años de
conflictos, en 1963 hubo un guerra llamada la guerra de las arenas ocasionada
durante la guerra fría la cual surgió tras meses de conflictos fronterizos, pero en la
actualidad la relación entre Argelia y Marruecos sigue siendo tensa y compleja.
Recientemente Argelia rompió sus lazos diplomáticos con Marruecos ya que los
acusa de no cumplir “con sus obligaciones sobre el Sahara Occidental y de
respaldar a un grupo de independencia regional dentro de Argelia”. (arcienagas,
2021) las tensiones aumentaron aun mas con la muerte de 3 argelinos por un
supuesto bombardeo marroquí, pero otros dicen falsas acusaciones, por lo tanto,
la tensión es alta entre estos países. Finalmente, a este conflicto se le suma otro
posible implicado europeo y esto se debe a la renovación del contrato que
posibilito el gasoducto de Magreb el cual transporta gas por medio de marruecos y
abastece a España y Portugal.
Por otra parte la relación entre Marruecos y España aunque han tenido sus
diferencias, han firmado un acuerdo bilateral que permita mejorar y hacer mas
solida su relación, también estos se benefician mutuamente y dependen mucho el
uno del otro, fuera de la unión europea marruecos es el segundo cliente comercial
de España y España es casi el principal socio comercial de marruecos, además
que están muy relacionados en temas de migración, seguridad y ámbitos
económicos.
Aunque marruecos y Mauritania también han tenido sus encuentros, su relación
actualmente ha consistido en reforzar sus lazos y tener una relación amena, hace
poco se firmaron algunos convenios y memorandos de entendimiento que consiste
en 13 convenios acuerdos que van a ayudar diferentes sectores e industrias así
fortaleciendo sus desarrollos sociales y económicos.
En conclusión, a pesar de que marruecos ha tenido una relación compleja y en
algunas ocasiones conflictivas con sus vecinos, no con todos la relación se ha
mantenido tensa ya que Mauritania y España gozan de una relación en la que ha
tratado de resolver sus diferencias y fortalecerla y así obtener una relación mas
armoniosa aunque no todo es perfecto ya que por el lado de Argelia la situación es
complicada y muy difícil ya que hasta el momento no han tenido una relación
positiva.

Tailandia es un pais del continente asiático que limita “al noreste con Laos, al
sureste con Camboya, al oeste con Myanmar y el mar de Andamán, y al sur con el
Golfo de Tailandia y Malasia”. (Ortega, 2020)
Entre los delimitantes de Tailandia uno muy importante y también el cual ha sido
motivos de conflictos es el rio Mekong el cual es muy importante para la
alimentación, desplazamiento y comercio de los habitantes del sur de Tailandia,
China, Birmania, Laos, Camboya y Vietnam. Compartir recursos hídricos es un
motivo de tensiones ya que este representa un valor económico y estratégico muy
grande. “El valor añadido de esta vía fluvial es ingente y eso lo ha llevado a
convertirse en objetivo prioritario de explotación de los seis países que atraviesa,
así como un potencial foco de enfrentamientos en materia de seguridad similar al
del mar Meridional de China”. (Ambrós, 2021)
Este rio también ha sido tema de disputa entre los limitantes Tailandia y Laos,
aunque sin embargo no ha sido un tema que trascienda a mayores y mas allá de
descontentos, por lo general la relación entre estos países es normal.
Por otro lado, la relación entre Tailandia y Malasia es de cooperación, actualmente
cuenta con un acuerdo bilateral entre estos países, con el fin de mejorar el
comercio transfronterizo e impulsar el turismo. Ambos países están entre los 10
socios comerciales mas importantes del mundo para el otro. Por esta razón se
puede evidenciar que Tailandia y Malasia, llevan una relación beneficiosa y
armoniosa en la cual procuran promover sus economías con el apoyo de la otra y
generarse beneficios mutuos, impulsando el comercio, turismo y economía
transfronteriza.
Otra relación fronteriza importante para Tailandia es Camboya, con la cual su
relación ha mejorado notablemente mientras pasan los años sin embargo no
siempre fue así, estos países tuvieron un conflicto fronterizo por la reclamación de
pertenencia del templo Preah Vihéar el cual se encuentra ubicado en la frontera de
estos países y fue proclamado patrimonio mundial de la ONU, y se dictamino que
el lugar donde se encontraba el templo era terreno de Camboya y una colina
cercana a esta era pertenencia de Tailandia.
Finalmente, el ultimo pais limitante con Tailandia es Birmania el cual goza de una
buena relación mutua en la cual se basa en acuerdos comerciales bilaterales. Sin
embargo, se encontró que en años anteriores debido a una guerra civil en
Birmania se evidenciaba una gran ola de refugiados en Tailandia. Lo que quiere
decir que en Birmania hubo y aún hay un conflicto interno que comenzó desde
1948 y al día de hoy todavía se presenta, esta guerra civil se debe a temas
políticos y étnicos que se desarrollan entre el gobierno y grupos armados y se
centra principalmente en Myanmar.

Morocco is a country of the African continent located in North Africa and is

separated from Europe by the Strait of Gibraltar.
This country borders Spain, Algeria and Mauritania also has coast in the Atlantic
Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Western Sahara was recognized as part of
Morocco in 2020 by the US.
Since 1994 the border between Morocco and Algeria has been closed, "Linked by
family, ethnic, cultural, religious and linguistic ties that should be the basis for
friendly and mutually beneficial relations, they have decades of diplomatic, political
and even military confrontations that time has not only not softened, but has been
getting worse despite periods of some relaxation". (PIQUÉ, 2021) To have more
context on this situation it is important to emphasize that these two countries have
years and years of conflicts, in 1963 there was a war called the war of the sands
caused during the cold war which arose after months of border conflicts, But today
the relationship between Algeria and Morocco remains tense and complex.
Recently, Algeria broke diplomatic ties with Morocco, accusing them of not fulfilling
"their obligations on Western Sahara and supporting a regional independence
group within Algeria". (arcienagas, 2021) Tensions increased even more with the
death of 3 Algerians from a supposed Moroccan bombing, but others say false
accusations, therefore, tension is high between these countries. Finally, to this
conflict is added another possible European involved and this is due to the renewal
of the contract that enabled the Maghreb pipeline which transports gas through
Morocco and supplies Spain and Portugal.
On the other hand the relationship between Morocco and Spain although they have
had their differences, they have signed a bilateral agreement that allows to improve
and make more solid their relationship, these also benefit each other and depend a
lot on each other, outside the European Union, Morocco is Spain’s second largest
trading client and Spain is almost Morocco’s main trading partner, as well as being
closely involved in migration, security and economic issues.
Although Morocco and Mauritania have also had their meetings, their current
relationship has been to strengthen their ties and have a pleasant relationship,
Recently some agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed
consisting of 13 agreements that will help different sectors and industries thus
strengthening their social and economic developments.
In conclusion, although Morocco has had a complex and sometimes conflicting
relationship with its neighbours, not all the relationship has remained tense since
Mauritania and Spain enjoy a relationship in which they have tried to resolve their
differences and strengthen it and thus obtain a more harmonious relationship
although not everything is perfect since on the side of Algeria the situation is
complicated and very difficult since so far they have not had a positive relationship.

Thailand is a country of the Asian continent that borders "northeast with Laos,
southeast with Cambodia, west with Myanmar and the Andaman Sea, and south
with the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia". (Ortega, 2020)
Among the delimitants of Thailand a very important one and also which has been
grounds for conflicts is the Mekong River which is very important for the food,
displacement and trade of the inhabitants of southern Thailand, China, Burma,
Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Sharing water resources is a source of tension as it
represents a very great economic and strategic value. "The added value of this
waterway is enormous and this has led it to become a priority exploitation target for
the six countries it is going through, as well as a potential source of security
clashes similar to the South China Sea". (Ambrós, 2021)
This river has also been a subject of dispute between the limiting Thailand and
Laos, although it has not been an issue that transcends to greater and more than
discontent, usually the relationship between these countries is normal.
On the other hand, the relationship between Thailand and Malaysia is one of
cooperation, currently has a bilateral agreement between these countries, in order
to improve cross-border trade and boost tourism. Both countries are among the
world’s top 10 trading partners for each other. For this reason it can be evidenced
that Thailand and Malaysia, carry a beneficial and harmonious relationship in which
they seek to promote their economies with the support of the other and generate
mutual benefits, boosting trade, tourism and cross-border economy.
Another important border relationship for Thailand is Cambodia, with which its
relationship has improved markedly over the years, but this was not always the
case, these countries had a border conflict over the claim of belonging to the Preah
Vihéar temple which is located on the border of these countries and was
proclaimed a UN world heritage site, and it was dictated that the place where the
temple was located was the land of Cambodia and a hill close to it belonged to
Thailand.
Finally, the last limiting country with Thailand is Burma, which enjoys a good
mutual relationship based on bilateral trade agreements. However, it was found
that in previous years due to a civil war in Burma was evidenced a large wave of
refugees in Thailand. Which means that in Burma there was and still is an internal
conflict that began from 1948 and to this day still arises, this civil war is due to
political and ethnic issues that develop between the government and armed groups
and is mainly focused on Myanmar.
