ADJECTWES

Los adjetivos son aquellas palabras

que utilizamos para modificar o
acompañar al sustantivo. En general,
se usan para describir, complementar
o cuantificar el nombre en la oración.
Por ejemplo:

/ have a happydog.
Cooking is not a difficult thingr

Her dad drives a blue car.

Thestudents got a good grade

in the testa

/ hope you have a great day!

ADJECTIVES
NO ES NECESARIO utilizarni
masculino, ni femenino, ni plural; sólo
debemos utilizar el adjetivo en SINGULAR,
NO IMPORTA si el sustantivo es masculino,
femenino, o plural; ejemplos:

Blue car (carro azul)

Blue cars (carros azules)

0 she is tall (ella es alta)

o He is tall (él es alto)

0 They are tall (ellos o ellas son altas)

En las oraciones anterioreslos adjetivos

"blue" y "tall" NUNCA modificaron su forma
en inglés.
ADJECTWES

adjetivos:

1. Adjetivo después del verbo TO BE

Cuando utilizamos los adjetivos con el verbo

TO BE, el adjetivo o adjetivos deben
escribirse después del verbo TO BE, así:

0 She isbappy_(ella es feliz)

0 They are happy_and intelligen_t(son felices

e inteligentes)

o I am happy, intelligent and polite (soy

feliz inteligentey educado)

o Me gustan los carros rojas (l like red cars)

brother is a happy.person)

"persona"). Por el contrario, en inglés los
adjetivos se usan ANTES de los sustantivos:
"red cars" y "happy person".

Ejemplos:
small / smaller (pequeño / mas pequeño)
cool / cooler (fresco / más fresco)
cheap / cheaper (barato/ más barato)
fast / faster (rápido / más rápido)
COMPARATIVES
c) Para adjetivos cortos
que terminan en
cambiar la I'yltpor "i"y agregar
terminación "-er":

Ejemplos:
dry / drier (seco/ más seco)
heavy / heavier (pesado / más pesado)
happy / happier (feliz / más feliz)

2.- Adjetivos largos

Para muchos adjetivos con 2 0 más silabas,

usamos "morel' más el adjetivo original:

more + adjective

Ejemplos:
expensive / more expensive (caro / más caro)
beautiful / more beautiful (bonito / más
bonito)
generous / more generous (generoso / más
generoso)
COMPARATIVES
3. - con comparativo Irregular

Algunos adjetivos tienen una forma comparativa

especial:

Ejemplos:
good / better (bueno/ mejor)
bad / worse (malo / peor)

Habiendo conocido las reglas esenciales para

formar comparativos ahora podemos adentrar a
la estructura básica para realizar oraciones.

Realizando comparaciones en oraciones

afirmativas:

Para oraciones afirmativas usamos la palabra

"than"después del comparativo para efectuar la
comparación:
