Esther, you work so, so hard. You always do everything I ask of you and more. And with
great results: this year I have seen you increase your vocabulary, use of idiomatic expressions
and listening skills. We can still work on improving your pronunciation and use of common
grammar when speaking, as well as your confidence in order to increase your fluency. Keep
exposing yourself to English (by watching series and reading books in English) and keep
coming to class. I can’t wait to see how much you will have improved by the end of the
school year.

Esther, eres una gran trabajadora. Siempre haces todo lo que te pido y más. Y con resultados
grandes: este año he visto cómo está mejorando tu vocabulario, uso de frases hechas y
habilidades de escuchar. Podrías mejorar tu pronunciación y uso de gramática común cuando
estés hablando. Además, podrías mejorar tu confianza en ti misma para aumentar tu fluidez.
Sigue exponiéndote al inglés (puedes ver series y leer libros en inglés) y sigue viniendo a las
clases. Estoy deseando verte mejorar el resto del año.

Antonio, your confidence helps you when you speak in English, but you need to put in the
work in order to improve your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. You understand most
of what you read and hear, although certain idiomatic expressions can still be difficult. We’re
going to work on increasing your vocabulary as well as enhancing your pronunciation.
You’ve got a good basis to work with, now let’s make it even better!

Antonio, tu confianza en ti mismo te ayuda cuando hablas en inglés, pero hace falta que
trabajes para aumentar tu gramática, vocabulario y pronunciación. Entiendes la mayor parte
de lo que escuchas y lees, aunque a veces hay expresiones que pueden ser difíciles. Podrías
aumentar tu vocabulario, así como mejorar tu pronunciación. Tienes una base sólida, ahora

read in English and I am sure that you know the words to express yourself. And even if you
don’t, there’s absolutely no harm in making mistakes. Speak up, because you deserve to be
heard. You can do this!

Hector, eres muy tímido y no hace falta! Entiendes la mayoría de lo que escuchas y lees y
estoy segura de que sabes las palabras que necesitas para expresarte. Y aun cuando no las
sepas, no hay vergüenza en cometer errores. Habla en voz alta, porque mereces que te

Marcos, based on the 3 (!) lessons we’ve had so far, these are the marks for the skills you’ve
shown me in class. You work hard, you’re incredibly motivated and you seem to genuinely
enjoy coming to class. You have a good grasp of grammar and a nice vocabulary. The
coming months, we’re going to work on getting you to use more complex grammar and
idiomatic expressions (and, of course, any other points of improvement that I notice along the
way). Keep up the good work!

Marcos, basada en las 3 clases que hemos hecho hasta ahora, estas son las notas para las
habilidades que me has mostrado. Eres trabajador, motivado y parece que verdaderamente
disfrutas de las clases. Tienes una buena comprensión de la gramática y una base sólida de
vocabulario. Los meses que vienen, vamos a trabajar en utilizar gramática más compleja y
aumentar tu variedad de frases hechas. (Y, por supuesto, cualquier otro punto de mejora que
