Since the appearance of Euclid's Elements around 300 BC, mathematical demonstrations have articulated
the body of knowledge in this discipline. Thus, many of the virtues attributed to the study of
mathematics are distilled from the features that characterise the demonstrations themselves: the use
of precise language, the constant application of hypothetico-deductive reasoning, and so on.
Despite this, mathematical proofs have been almost eradicated from the Secondary Education curriculum.
In recent times, priority has been given to another type of approach where the use of mathematics as
a tool to be applied in other contexts and disciplines is given priority.
The aim of this Master's Thesis is to try to take advantage of the benefits enjoyed by geometric
demonstrations (simplicity, beauty, visual character, etc.) to alleviate this situation, contributing to
provide a vision of mathematics as a matrix of rational thought.
