 GLOBALIZATION IN ECONOMICS APPLIED TO THE PROFESSION OF SYSTEMS
ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE

According to (F. Ruffinatti, 2018), the global trade in software in terms of workflow, movement of
products and mobility of professionals in the Computer Science and Systems Engineering specialty is
undoubtedly global. In order to adapt to this new scenario, pioneering companies are using their
knowledge of the global economy of software and information technology to:
 Set up strategic alliances on a transnational scale
 Make offshore investments in underdeveloped countries
 Carefully calibrate the cost and performance parameters involved in these movements.
Globalization is a technological and human process because the new information systems with
global communication more easily link the agents of globalization, as is the case of multinational
corporations with the different governments, which often become their partners.
Taking into account the basic dimensions of management that are necessary to compete on the
global stage, clearly being able to take advantage of the savings and efficiencies in software
productivity and its remote administration is key. (Howard A., 2000)
Technologies are changing the traditional way of doing things, people who work in private
companies, public companies, or who manage staff or who work as a professional in any field use ICT
on a daily basis through the use of the Internet, credit cards, electronic payroll payment, to mention
examples; that is why the role of ICT in business processes such as manufacturing and sales have been
greatly expanded. Another point to highlight is that current advances make it possible to capture and
use information at the time it is generated, that is, to have online processes. This fact has not only
changed the way work is done and the workplace, but it has also had a great impact on the way
companies compete. (Saucedo Elizondo, Blanco Jimenez, & Barragán Codina, 2014)
