A
Social action: Action that makes sense for those who carry it out, affecting the behavior
of others, directing the action to a problem.
Acción social: Acción que tiene sentido para quienes la realizan afectándola
conducta de otros, orientando la acción a un problema.
Social learning: Common knowledge shared by all of social importance. The difference
with simple learning lies in what is learned, not in the one who learns or how he learns
it. Entity with a people of more developed civilization.

Human community: Unit of people who are in a relationship of reciprocal action and in
which such participants are aware that they make up a more or less homogeneous
whole, as well as the existence among them of common interests and the need for a
joint action.
Community: Only an organized sector of the total society. where systematic social
relations exist: for example, an urban community.
Comunidad: Sólo un sector organizado de la sociedad total. donde existen relaciones
sociales sistemáticas: por ejemplo, una comunidad urbana.
Culture: ways of thinking, feeling and acting. More or less organized and coherent set of
ways of life of a human group; understanding by ways of life, the techniques of use,
production and behavior.

Demography: Statistical study of a human population group that analyzes its volume,
growth and characteristics at a time or century.
Law: Normative and institutional order of human behavior in society inspired by postulates
of justice, whose basis is the existing social relations that determine its content and
character.

Education: All the influences that affect the individual person. For the sociologist it refers more
specifically to the social and cultural factors that help the individual who consciously develops
his original and natural social potentialities.
Educación: Todos los influjos que afectan a la persona individual. Para el sociólogo se
refiere más específicamente a los factores sociales y culturales que ayudan al individuo el
cual conscientemente desarrolla sus potencialidades sociales originarias y naturales.
Social structure: is important to sociology and refers to the fact that the social contexts of our
lives are not just made up of a random collection of events and actions, but are, in various
ways, structured or patterned.

Social group: The group of human beings who interact with each other and who share the
same goal. The members of this group, therefore, have something in common that leads
them to fulfill a certain role in society. Social groups are durable and structured.
Grupo social: Al conjunto de seres humanos que interactúan entre ellos y que
comparten un mismo objetivo. Los integrantes de esta agrupación, por lo tanto, tienen
algo en común que los lleva a cumplir un determinado rol en la sociedad. Los grupos
sociales son duraderos y estructurados.
Geography: Science that describes the Earth and indicates the distribution in space of the
elements and phenomena that develop on its surface.

Humanities: It is a generic name for a set of disciplines related to human culture.
Historicism: History that emphasizes the special way the historical character in reality, and
more specifically of human reality.

Individualization: Every individual internalizes and personalizes his social experience,
individualizes the culture.
Individualización: Todo individuo interioriza y personaliza su experiencia social,

Methodology: Set of rational procedures used to achieve a range of objectives that govern
scientific research.
Metasocial: Pertaining to the stage of social evolution that begins with the conquest and
subjugation of one group or race by another, and continues through fusion.

Organization: people or groups that have come together for some purpose. Organize:
"assemble in an orderly manner."
Organización: personas o grupos que se han unido con algún propósito. Organizar:
"reunir de manera ordenada".

Cultural pattern: Arrangement or configuration of cultural traits and complexes that make
up a particular culture at a particular time.
Persona social: Una persona es social en cuanto que tiende a la asociación humana y la
necesita.
Psychology: Science that studies psychic activity and human behavior, psychology has its
roots in philosophy.

Socialization: Development of individual traits in relation to the dominant social patterns.
Society: Group of people who live together and interact within the same space and cultural
environment.
Sociology: Science that studies the relationships between individuals and their laws in
human societies.
Sociología: Ciencia que estudia las relaciones entre individuos y sus leyes en las
sociedades humanas.

Social values: They are those criteria that are shared and put into practice by the
members of a society. These types of values serve to coexist respectfully and in harmony
among all the members that make up society.
Valores sociales: Son aquellos criterios que comparten y ponen en práctica los
miembros de una sociedad. Este tipo de valores sirven para convivir de forma respetuosa y
en sintonía entre todos los miembros que componen la sociedad.
