Introducción:
Apreciado estudiante, en esta guía de aprendizaje encontraras diferentes actividades correspondientes al tema,
plural de los sustantivos.
Vamos a trabajar plural de los sustantivos a continuación encontraras la explicación del tema que será detallada lo
cual te permitirá comprenderlo más fácil con sus actividades y ejemplos, relacionados con el tema para que las desarrolles
paso a paso. Estaré explicando como desarrollar las guías por medio de video, whatsapp y por llamadas telefónicas
para los estudiantes que no tengan acceso a conectividad. Quedo atenta para atender cualquier inquietud que se te llegue
a presentar durante el desarrollo de esta guía.

¿Qué es un sustantivo?
Son las clases de palabras que dan nombre o identican a todas las cosas que conocemos
El singular es como podemos designar a un solo objeto o individuo, mientras que, en plural es aquel que
designa a 2 o más objetos iguales
Plurals Nouns
Un sustantivo singular determina que solo hay un objeto o sujeto del cual se habla. Contrario a ello, el plural
determina que son dos o más objetos o sujetos.
De manera general, para formar el plural de un sustantivo basta con agregar "s" al final de la palabra, así:
● Apple - Apples
Manzana - Manzanas
● Sausage - Sausages
Salchicha - Salchichas
Sin embargo existen excepciones que se deben aplicar a cierto tipo de palabras:
● Tomato - tomatoes
Tomate - Tomates
● Hero - Heroes
Héroe - Héroes
● Dish - Dishes
Plato - Platos
● Church - Churches
● Iglesia - Iglesias
● Crisis - Crises
Crisis - Crisis
● Buzz - buzzes
Zumbido - Zumbidos
● Box - Boxes
Caja - Cajas
● Waitress - Waitresses
Camarera - Camareras
Sustantivos que terminan en "-f"
Para la mayoría de palabras finalizadas en "-f" o que tienen una vocal antes de esta letra, se reemplaza la "-
f" por la "-v" y se agrega la terminación "-es". Veamos:
● Knife - Knives
Cuchillo - Cuchillos
● Life - Lives
Vida - Vidas
Existen excepciones en las que no se agrega la terminación "-ves", sino que simplemente se agrega la letra "-
s", veamos algunos ejemplos:

Cuando la palabra termina en vocal seguida de "-y", no hay necesidad de cambiarla. Aquí simplemente basta
con agregar "-s" al final de la palabra.

encuentres.
Charlie Chaplin
Charles Spencer “Charlie” Chaplin was born in London, England, UK, on April 16, 1889 and he was an actor,
comedian, composer, producer, director and British writer. He gained popularity thanks to his character Charlot
in multiple films of the silent movies period. He is is considered a symbol of humor and silent movies of the end
of World War II, he was one of the most acclaimed men in the cinema world.
His parents also were related to the show, especially the genre of music-hall. Chaplin made his debut at the age
of five, replacing his mother in a performance. By 1912, he had acted with the Fred Karno troupe, with which he
toured various countries.
He debuted with his character Charlot in 1914 in the film Earning Bread and during that year he rolled 35 short
films, including All for an umbrella, Charlot in dance and Charlot and fire. However, the outstanding Chaplin films
were The Gold Rush (1925), City Lights (1931), Modern Times (1935) and The Great Dictator (1940). His
techniques when filming included slapstick, mime and other visual comedy routines. Since the mid-1910s he
directed most of his films, for 1916 he was also responsible for the production, and since 1918 he composed the
music for their productions. In 1919, in collaboration with Douglas Fairbanks, David Wark Griffith and Mary
Pickford, founded the United Artists.
Throughout his life, Chaplin received multiple awards and nominations. He received the Academy Honorary
Award in 1928 and 1972, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1948, he was awarded the OBE in
1975 and a star with his name was placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1970. In 1952, after a series of
political problems that related him with communism, he was forced into exile in Switzerland, where he spent the
rest of his life. While the number of productions performed at that time had diminished, he filmed A King in New
York and A Countess from Hong Kong; his last pieces. He died on Christmas Day 1977.
