This research aims to review the commitment of the educational environment towards the quality of
education received by children with cognitive disabilities in educational institutions, which basically due to
ignorance or inattention do not fully commit to training and enhancing the skills of those students who they
arrive at a disadvantage in a group and an environment, sometimes hostile, to which they have to adapt.
Undoubtedly, it is not enough just to allow students with cognitive disabilities to enter the institution, and to
talk about inclusion. This process goes further, it needs to have some parameters and follow clear procedures,
which implies making a series of pedagogical changes according to the needs of the students, which are
known and applied by all members of the educational community, for the benefit of harmonious coexistence
and quality of life for all students.
The analysis indicates the urgency of implementing an infrastructure improvement project, the relevance of
having pedagogical material and permanent support from a suitable professional to adequately and
satisfactorily meet the needs of students with disabilities, the development of awareness workshops,
socialization without discrimination , to the educational community, including also the participation of
parents in the achievement of strategies that allow the student to achieve significant achievements; how to
function in a social and natural environment. Generating confidence in them, strengthening their self-
esteem and above all complying with the law that stipulates that education is everyone's right.
It is expected that this research will be useful to start a new project of sustainable life and projection
towards the continuous participation of all groups immersed in the same institution, where actions for
benefit are carried out.
What the process of social inclusion primarily wants is to create an environment of respect and acceptance
of difference. Initiate a change in educational practices so that everyone has the same opportunities and
disability is not an impediment to the achievement of goals, but it does allow increased motivation to
overcome barriers in their daily life. It is in everyone's hands to project inclusion in all settings, to look at
disability not as a problem of the family that lives this experience, but to see it as a different life condition
that requires attention, to know before judging, of working in community and of promoting love as a tool
that facilitates processes.
In reality, the population with difficulties, both bodily and cognitive limitations, is relatively large, and this
frequently implies a source of marginalization on the part of the "solvents", who, as a cultural majority, have
a certain tendency to reject development paths that do not are typical.
casi nulo.
