INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Talk to your family and friends about a place you want to live or study in another
country.
2. Discuss about similarities and differences between that country and our country
(the rules and laws, customs, food). Make a description about the place you are
going to live in that country.
3. Film yourself for 5 minutes talking about all the information above and give your
opinion about the advantages and disadvantages about living or studying in that
country.
4. Upload your video on the AVAC platform.

INSTRUCCIONES:

1. Habla con tu familia y amigos sobre un lugar donde quieres vivir o estudiar en otro
país.

2. Hablar sobre las similitudes y diferencias entre ese país y nuestro país (las reglas y
leyes, costumbres, comida). Haz una descripción sobre el lugar donde vas a vivir en
ese país.

3. Grabe usted mismo durante 5 minutos hablando de toda la información anterior y dé

su opinión sobre las ventajas y desventajas de vivir o estudiar en ese país.

4. Cargue su video en la plataforma AVAC.

El vivir y educarse en otro país que no sean el mío, es un anhelo. Si tuviese la
oportunidad me gustaría viajar a estos países a Corea del sur, Inglaterra y me
encantaría conocer más países europeos.

El país que escogería para estudiar seria Inglaterra ya que posterior quiero estudiar
una maestría en energías renovables, en este país han avanzado con la
implementación y el estudio de la mejora energética mediante el uso de energías
limpias. En este país ofertan esta maestría y hay plazas de empleo en el área técnica
complementa de la mejor forma a mis estudios de pregrado en mecatrónica, ¿porque
Inglaterra? Ya que escogí este país para vivir por un largo tiempo ya que es un lapso
de unos 3 años me parece que las oportunidades y calidad de vida son buenas.
Adicional me atrae mucho su cultura llena de artes y misterios de la conservación de la
monarquía hasta los tiempos actuales. La otra opción sería Corea del Sur o Japón por
el crecimiento tecnológico creo que estos dos países asiáticos para ir a estudiar son
perfectos ya que la mayoría de las materias de posgrado las dictan en inglés, pero
como requisito al terminar debes dominar y rendir un examen de idioma ya sea
coreano o japonés. Creo que por eso me inclino más en estudiar y vivir en Inglaterra o
en algún país europeo. El inglés puedo comprenderlo mejor que el coreano o japonés,
que me tocaría aprender de cero.

Pero si tengo la oportunidad de estar en esos países y quedarme estoy dispuesta a

hacerlo y aprender su idioma y ser su cultura mía respetándola, creo que tanto la
cultura asiática como la cultura británica tienen su historia que hace valioso a cada
país.

Lo más importante creo que al tomar esta decisión es estar consiente de al estudiar en
otro país, hay que vivir solo, acoplándose a la reglas y costumbres de cada país como
ejemplo algunas de los comportamientos que se deben llevar en las culturas asiáticas
son las del respeto en estos países tienen como costumbre quitarse los zapatos para
ingresar a las casas, comen con palillos y su temperamento es más frio que el de los
latinos.

Yo como ecuatoriana o latina en otro continente lo más duro es la separación de la

cultura y la comida ya que en Ecuador son más cálidos, la comida ecuatoriana es rica
en verduras, carnes y mariscos la mayor parte frescos esa es una gran diferencia
entre estos países la abundancia que se vive es incomparable. Por testimonio de mi
hermano que ya vive un año en Rusia por sus estudios de pregrado lo más duro al
llegar es el carácter de los rusos ancianos ya que las reglas son muy claras y
radicales. En este país existen cruces peatonales subterráneos todos deben cruzar por
ellos así las calles estén vacías. Ya ahora él puede hablar el ruso, pero al ser
extranjero y vivir en un país donde llegan muchas personas de todas las partes del
mundo no solo debes saber hablar y entender el ruso tienes que adaptarte y respetar
los pensamientos y creencias de cada cultura, convertirte en una persona de mundo.
Que está abierta la diferencia de culturas, idiomas y religiones, lo que aprecio que nos
unen a todos es que somos seres humanos con sueños.

Creo que la mayor ventaja al estudiar y vivir en otro país es que conoces otras culturas
y puedes aprender de ellas y moldear la forma de ser plantear nuevos objetivos.
Existen mayores oportunidades de crecimiento profesional y así se mejora la calidad
de vida.

Una desventaja es el Adaptarse a un nuevo país implica exponerse a una nueva

cultura, comunicarse en un idioma que no dominas, el clima o el huso horario.

la realidad de estudiar y trabajar en otro país acarrea mucha determinación, pues

deberás enfrentarte al proceso de adaptación.

Sin embargo, en el caso de asumir este proyecto, las ventajas, el crecimiento

profesional y personal, y la posibilidad de conocer más allá de tus fronteras físicas y
mentales, compensa los procesos de adaptación, los cambios, el gasto y demás
inconvenientes. 

Debes mantener en mente que, cuando el primer cambio haya pasado, comenzaras a
disfrutar mucho más de la experiencia y las ventajas irán ganando terreno de a poco
en ti.
Living and educating yourself in a country other than mine is a wish. If I had the
opportunity I would like to travel to these countries to South Korea, England and I
would love to know more European countries.

The country that I would choose to study would be England since later I want to study a
master's degree in renewable energy, in this country they have advanced with the
implementation and study of energy improvement through the use of clean energy. In
this country they offer this master's degree and there are job vacancies in the technical
area, complementing my undergraduate studies in mechatronics in the best way, why
England? Since I chose this country to live for a long time since it is a period of about 3
years it seems to me that the opportunities and quality of life are good. Additionally, I
am very attracted to its culture full of arts and mysteries of the conservation of the
monarchy until the present time. The other option would be South Korea or Japan, due
to technological growth, I believe that these two Asian countries to go to study are
perfect since most graduate subjects are taught in English, but as a requirement at the
end you must master and take an exam language either Korean or Japanese. I think
that is why I am more inclined to study and live in England or in some European
country. I can understand English better than Korean or Japanese, which I would have
to learn from scratch.

But if I have the opportunity to be in those countries and stay I am willing to do it and
learn their language and be their culture of mine while respecting it, I believe that both
Asian culture and British culture have their history that makes each country valuable.

The most important thing I think when making this decision is to be aware that when
studying in another country, you have to live alone, adhering to the rules and customs
of each country as an example some of the behaviors that should be carried in Asian
cultures are those of the respect in these countries they have the custom of taking off
their shoes to enter the houses, they eat with chopsticks and their temperament is
colder than that of Latinos.

As an Ecuadorian or Latina in another continent, the hardest thing is the separation of

culture and food since in Ecuador they are warmer, Ecuadorian food is rich in
vegetables, meat and seafood, most of it fresh, that is a big difference between these
countries the abundance that is lived is incomparable. According to the testimony of my
brother, who already lives a year in Russia for his undergraduate studies, the hardest
thing to arrive is the character of the elderly Russians since the rules are very clear and
radical. In this country there are underground pedestrian crossings, everyone must
cross them even if the streets are empty. Now he can speak Russian, but being a
foreigner and living in a country where many people come from all over the world, not
only do you have to know how to speak and understand Russian, you have to adapt
and respect the thoughts and beliefs of each culture, become in a person of the world.
That the difference of cultures, languages and religions is open, what I appreciate that
they unite us all is that we are human beings with dreams.

I think the biggest advantage when studying and living in another country is that you
get to know other cultures and can learn from them and shape the way of being by
setting new goals. There are greater opportunities for professional growth and thus the
quality of life is improved.

One downside is Adapting to a new country involves exposing yourself to a new

culture, communicating in a language you don't know, the weather, or the time zone.

The reality of studying and working in another country takes a lot of determination, as
you will have to face the adaptation process.

However, in the case of assuming this project, the advantages, professional and
personal growth, and the possibility of knowing beyond your physical and mental
borders, compensate for the adaptation processes, changes, expenses and other
inconveniences.

You must keep in mind that, when the first change has passed, you will begin to enjoy
the experience much more and the advantages will gradually gain ground in you.
