What are Uncountable Nouns?
Let’s make this as simple as possible. Uncountable nouns are nouns which we cannot count or
divide into smaller numbers. For example, you cannot count the noun “Milk”. You can’t say 1
milk, or two milks.

Here are some more Uncountable nouns: Food. Drink. Money. News. Rice. Luggage.

¿Qué son los sustantivos incontables?

Hagámoslo bien simple. Los sustantivos incontables son aquellos que no los podemos contar o
dividir en peñeños números. Por ejemplo, no puedes contar la leche. No puedes decir 1 leche, o
2 leches.

Aquí hay más susntanticos incontables: La comida, La bebida, el dinero, las noticias, el arroz, el
equipaje

What are Countable Nouns?

Countable Nouns are things that we can count. For example, we can say “I need an apple” or “I
need 2 apples”. It is possible to count chairs. We can have one, two, three or more apples.

Here are some more countable nouns: dog, cat, animal, man, person, bottle, box, litre, coin,
note, dollar, cup, plate, fork, table, apple, suitcase, bag.

¿Qué son los sustantivos contables?

Los sustantivos contables son cosas que podemos contar. Por ejemplo, podemos decir “necesito
una manzana” o “necesito dos manzanas.” Es posible contar las mandazas. Podemos tener una,
dos, tres o más manzanas.

Acá hay algunos sustantivos contables: perro, gato, animal, hombre, botella, caja, litro, moneda,
dólar, taza, plato, tenedor, mesa, silla, manzana, traje, bolsa.

What are quantifiers?

A quantifier is a word or phrase which is used before a noun to indicate the amount or quantity:
'Some', 'many', 'a lot of' and 'a few' are examples of quantifiers.

Quantifiers can be used with both countable and uncountable nouns.

Examples:

There are some biscuits on the plate

He's got only a few apples
How much rice have you got?
There is a large quantity of fish in this river.
He's got more friends than his sister.

Hay algunas galletas en el plato.

Él tiene solo algunas manzanas.
¿Cuánto arroz tiene?
Hay un gran cantidad de peces en este río.
Él tiene mas amigos que su hermana.

¿Qué son los cuantificadores?

Un cuantificador es una palabra o frase con ambos sustantivos contables e incontables para
indicar el importe o la cantidad:

Alguno/algunos, muchos/as, un montón de y un poco son ejemplos de cuantificadores.

What is a container?
A container is any receptacle or enclosure for holding a product used in storage, packaging, and
shipping.

¿Qué es un contenedor?

Un contenedor es cualquier recipiente o caja para sostener un producto usado en tienda,

empacado y enviado.
