Paragraph 1: Short family introduction, family routines and what the weather was like the last

month. We are a small family from Cali and we decided to live in Baltimore because we wanted to
have a better lifestyle. Today, we are going to write about our experience living in this city during
the last month in terms of our new routines, the weather, places visited, activities done and our
feelings. We arrived to this beautiful city last month and what we liked the most was the weather
because it was summer and it was very hot. Our routine has changed a lot: From Monday to
Friday, we woke up at 8am, we had breakfast together and we started our day. My mother stayed
at home doing the chores, and my father and I got out to do many things like to find the best
school for me. At 12 o’clock, we arrived home and had lunch together. In the afternoon, my
parents took a nap or watched a TV show on Netflix, and I walked around the neighborhood to
make new friends and to get familiar with the place. My mom worked from 3 to 8pm in a bank as
an accountant. My father did not work because he decided to stay with me. We always had dinner
together and we went to sleep at around 10pm. During the weekends, we visited some touristic
places, we ate ice cream and we shared time in family.

Somos una familia pequeña de Cali y
decidimos vivir en Baltimore porque quería
tener un mejor estilo de vida. Hoy vamos a
escribir sobre nuestra experiencia. vivir en esta
ciudad durante el último mes en términos de
nuestras nuevas rutinas, el clima, lugares
visitados, actividades realizadas y nuestros
sentimientos. Llegamos a esta hermosa ciudad
el último mes y lo que más nos gustó fue el
clima porque era verano y estaba muy caliente.
Nuestra rutina ha cambiado mucho: de lunes a
viernes nos despertamos a las 8 am,
desayunamos juntos y comenzamos nuestro
día. Mi madre se quedó en casa haciendo las
tareas del hogar, y mi padre y yo salimos a
hacer muchas cosas como encontrar el mejor
escuela para mi. A las 12 en punto llegamos a
casa y almorzamos juntos. En el Por la tarde,
mis padres tomaron una siesta o vieron un
programa de televisión en Netflix, y yo caminé
por el vecindario para hacer nuevos amigos y
familiarizarse con el lugar. Mi mamá trabajaba
de 3 a 8 pm en un banco como contadora. Mi
padre no trabajaba porque decidió quedarse
conmigo. Siempre cenábamos juntos y íbamos
dormir alrededor de las 10 pm. Durante los
fines de semana visitamos algunos lugares
turísticos, comimos helado y compartimos
tiempo en familia.

Paragraph 2: Experiences about visited places and activities done the last month. Last month, we
did many activities and visited many places. My father and I visited some schools and we chose the
Abbottston Elementary School. I love reading, so we visited the “Enoch Pratt free” library and I
registered to take books home. My father loves cars, so we went to Baltimore Streetcar museum.
In that place, we learnt a lot about cars! I really liked it! We also took some cooking class in the
Community Center because we love cooking. In addition, we visited the best amusement park
called Adventure Park. There, we rode roller-coasters one hundred times, we ate ice cream and I
tasted the best burgers in that park. We had a great time during the last month. Paragraph 3:
Family feelings about the new city, things you liked the most during the last month and a short
conclusion. My mom was sad because she missed my grandparents too much. My father felt
happy because he said that it was the best decision. I felt excited because I met many people and
the new places we visited. In conclusion, Baltimore is an amazing city to live because you can do
many things and learn a lot about culture.

El mes pasado hicimos muchas actividades y
visitamos muchos lugares. Mi padre y yo visitamos
algunas escuelas y elegimos la escuela primaria
Abbottston. Me encanta leer, entonces

registré para llevar libros a casa. Mi

del tranvía de Baltimore. En ese lugar aprendimos

Centro porque nos encanta cocinar. Además,
visitamos el mejor parque de atracciones
llamado Adventure Park. Allí, montamos montañas
rusas cien veces, comimos hielo
crema y probé las mejores hamburguesas de ese
parque. Lo pasamos muy bien durante la última
mes.

ciudad, cosas que más te gustaron

Mi mamá estaba triste porque extrañaba demasiado
a mis abuelos. Mi padre sintió
feliz porque dijo que era la mejor decisión. Me sentí
emocionado porque conocí
mucha gente y los nuevos lugares que visitamos. En
conclusión, Baltimore es un
ciudad para vivir porque puedes hacer muchas cosas
y aprender mucho de cultura.

Hola somos la familia Ortiz Rodriguez. Tenemos una hija llamada Angela. Somos de Colombia-
Bogotá, pero hace un año que vivimos en Nueva York. Nos levantamos a las 6:30 am,
desayunamos y mi hija sale a sus clases, luego de que todos estesmos en la casa después del
trabajo nos gusta salir a los centros comerciales para conocer un poco a su gente, regresamos en
metro y por la noche cenar en familia. Llegamos hace un par de meses don el clima estaba con un
calor espectacular el cual decidimos ir a conocer la playa de Orchard Beach, donde fue genial
compartir con mi familia allí en este lugar. Mi Esposa consiguió un trabajo de 7am a 2pm el cual
alcanza a recoger a mi hija en la escuela e ir a casa. Yo estoy también trabajando en una oficina de
en el centro de new york de 8am a 4pm he hecho algunos amigos el cual nos invitan a conocer
mas de esta hermosa cuidad. Para ir a casa utilizamos el metro el cual es muy rápido y poco
congestionado.
