La planeación básicamente consiste en elegir y fijar las misiones y objetivos de la
organización para que así pueda determinar las políticas, proyectos, programas,
métodos, presupuestos con el fin de decidir con anticipación lo que se quiere
lograr en el futuro y el cómo se va a lograr todas las etapas del proceso
administrativo son importantes, pero cabe resaltar que de los 4 la que tiene más
relevancia sobre las otras fases es: la planeación, porque en ella es donde se dan
las pautas para desarrollar el proceso con menor grado de riesgo; es decir, lo que
mal se planea mal se ejecuta y malos resultados produce.
No planear es no saber cómo se van hacer las cosas, tanto las personas y las
empresas tienen miedo de la forma en que no puedan lograr sus objetivos, pues el
no saber planear de manera correcta no se lograría lo deseado.
Para esto es importante apoyarnos de un plan estratégico que nos permita lograr
los objetivos y que estos a su vez sean claros, realistas, alcanzables, utilizando los
medios y recursos que tenemos a nuestra disposición, así como la elaboración de
una foda, que es una herramienta que permite crear un cuadro situacional
verdadero y actual que pueda presentar una organización u empresa para tener
un diagnóstico preciso para la toma de decisiones.
Considero que actualmente, ha tomado una gran importancia para cada una de las
personas que tienen o piensan desarrollar una empresa u organización debido a
que se tiene desafío mayor de conocer, ¿Cómo se va a enfrentar a la
competencia?

functional planning (for the areas or departments of the organization or company),
