PROGRESSIVE TENSES:
The action is in PROGRESS. The tense is formed by using the verb ESTAR and the –ing form of the verb.
To form the –ing in Spanish, take of the verbs ending from the infinitive and replace it with –ando or –iendo. Some verbs are
irregular:
1. –ER verbs: i changes to y when the i is between 2 vowels
2. –IR verbs: verbs that stem-change in the present tense and pretérito tense (CHANCLA verbs) also stem-change. They
stem-change e → i and o → u
