¡Hola chicos buenas tardes! Soy la profesora Hersilia Rivero y seré su profe de Inglés este año. Dada la
situación que todos conocemos y ante la imposibilidad de poder asistir a clases, es que nos vamos a
comunicar a través del aula virtual de la institución, WhatsApp y mails.

Les estoy mandando en esta primera entrega algunas actividades en base a lo que han visto con la
profesora Carolina Fiorio quien me ha facilitado el material que han estado usando y seguiremos usando
este año.

Les voy a ir enviando actividades de acuerdo a la carga horaria del espacio que son 3 estímulos semanales.
Esta primera cartilla correspondería a las clases de estas dos primeras semanas.

Lo que si les voy a pedir es que me vayan mandando para corregir, así puedo llevar un control y a la vez
saber como están cada uno de ustedes en contenidos propios de la materia. Seguramente vamos a ir

My Job is Special! For most people, a job means they get up at 7:00 am and drive to work by 8:30
or 9:00 am. Later, they have lunch at noon, and then they start work again at 1:00 pm. Finally, they
finish work at about 5:00 pm and then go home and have dinner with their family. That kind of job
is okay for most people, but my job is special and I love it!

I’m a commercial airline pilot. That means I don’t drive to work, I fly! In fact, I fly to many different
destinations in the world and I have friends in many countries. Usually, I fly between countries in
Asia, North America and South America. It’s not surprising, then, that my best friend lives in Japan
and we stay in touch by Facebook and e-mail – when I’m in Tokyo, he always invites me to have
dinner with him and his family. In fact, my favourite food is sushi. Another good friend of mine –
Gustavo – lives in Brasilia. That’s the capital city of Brazil. Gustavo and I love watching football
games together when I visit him.

Is my job perfect? No, it’s not. Because I fly across many different time zones, I sometimes go to
bed at 2:00 am. At other times, I go to bed at 2:00 pm. That kind of schedule isn’t easy. In addition,
my job often separates me from my wife and two children. They live in New York and often I am
many thousands of miles away. Sometimes I miss them very much. However, I think I have an
exciting job. And my kids think it’s great that I can say, “Hello” in eighteen different languages: “Ni
hao,” “Anyoung haseyo,” “Konnichiwa,” “Bonjour,” …

I work seasonally at the Nihuil Fishermen's Club in maintenance and cleaning. This consists of
keeping the campsite, the 6 bungalows and bathrooms on site clean. I have two colleagues who are
excellent people and between the three of us we do everything possible to maintain order and
cleanliness of the club.

5. What do you do? I work study and I take care of my daughter and my house.

6. What is a normal day like in your life? (routine)

I get up at seven in the morning I go to work I come back at 12:30 I prepare the food we have lunch
with my daughter I take her to the garden and I go to the IES I come home after school and I take care
of the tasks of my daughter and clean the house then have dinner and sleep!

7. Do you work in the morning? Yes

8. When did you start working there? In August 2019 until November, then I do season in Nihuil and in
February I return to work.

9. What qualities do you need in your work? To be organized.

10. What do you like about your work? Not? I like to work alone in the morning and have the rest of
the day.

11. What do you like to do in your free time? I like being able to be at home enjoying my daughter

12. What can you tell me about your family? My family is my daughter, my partner and my little cat

chores

visited me on my days off

semana que viene, en las dos guías trabajaremos diagnostico o repaso de lo visto en Inglés I y II. No se
