Abstract
In the previous laboratory practice it was possible to analyze the behavior of some fluids based on their
properties, in this case capillarity. Capillarity is known as the property of liquids that depends on their
surface tension (which, in turn, depends on the cohesion or intermolecular force of the liquid), which is
why the following report attempts to determine the capillarity of the following liquids. 3 types paints or
temperas and water. This laboratory was carried out following guidelines with which it was possible to
verify the effectiveness of the experiment taking into account that when a liquid rises through a capillary
tube in this case (the napkin), it is due to the intermolecular force between its molecules that is less
adhesion of the liquid.
Keywords
Capillarity, surface tension, fluids, intermolecular force.
