ABSTRACT
The shell is the protective layer of a fruit or vegetable, from which it can be detached. It is common
knowledge that fruits are a very good food for health. Many people eat the futa and then throw the
husk in the trash. They are not aware that in addition to not helping the environment, fouling and
inciting rodents, dogs and insects to get into the garbage, they could be wasting much more than a
useless shell. What was done was the measurement of the pH of the compost after 18 days from its
beginning.
KEYWORDS
