They walked past rows of pretty flowers.
“Grammy likes flowers,” said Mom.
Rosa sighed. “It’s difficult to choose.”
25
Then Rosa spotted the perfect present next to
some flowers. It was a set with some pretty pots,
a shovel, and a small bag of soil.
“Let’s buy these!” said Rosa.
26
Grammy put the pots on the windowsill.
“This little garden is just right,” she said.
Rosa grinned. “Happy Birthday, Grammy!”

Puzzle
One day, Bert, Beth, and Grandpa took a hike in the forest.
30
“Look, Grandpa,” said Beth. “I found some acorns!”
31
“We love wading in the brook!” said Beth.
32
The next day, they looked at the pictures
Grandpa took.
“We sure had fun on our hike in the forest,”
said Grandpa.

Swans are big, white birds. They can swim and fly. When it’s time
to lay her eggs, a mother swan builds or finds a nest near water. When
the chicks hatch, they have fluffy, gray feathers. They won’t have white
feathers until they are almost a year old. But when they are only one or
two days old, they can join their mother and father for a swim.
