automóviles, etc.)

• Pocos vendedores, ofrecen productos que son similares o

• Precio y cantidad ofrecida en función de la
organización del mercado:
• El precio del agua en un mercado perfectamente
competitivo sería igual al coste marginal. En el
mercado de agua el coste marginal es cero :
• P = CM = $0
• Q = 120 gallons
• El precio y la cantidad bajo un monopolio se
situarían donde se maximizan los beneficios :
• P = $60
• Q = 60 gallons

• La cantidad de agua socialmente eficientes es de
120 galones, sin embargo un monopolista
produciría sólo 60 galones.
