(0K so, Hol, what do you think, ike, the ingredients fora really good friendship, ie, are? Um, | think honesty is really important. What do you think? Yeah, think that’ true because .. 'm just thinking, theres alot of times, before leave the house, ‘Where I'l go up 19 your room, just to get your opinion on what I'm wearing. Because | know, especially if its a special occasion, then you'l defintely be honest with me, [yeah] even it— even if! don't want to hear it. Hannah Yeah, and think that's often why Fl sten to your advice as well because you know me really well Hannah... and therefore is sort of more cffcut to trust them because they don't know me as well. Hannah That’ true, yeah, you're a really good listener Holy {think HI go to you for advice a lot because | now I can trust you and— and hopefully | can give you Useful advice as well Hannah Yeah, you do. Holly So, | think that’ relly important. Holly Um, what else? Hannah Um, welll think something that particular to us is, because we live together its sort of important ‘we_—we make time for each other but we also make time for ourselves because its— it can be very suppose, lice, temating to always go and, like, knock on your door as soon as | get in. But sometimes T know that youl just want time just to read a book or to speak to someone on the phone and | think because we've lived together now for quite a long time, then we're very good at judging when you might want your own space and when you might want to spend time with friends. And so think that’s something that we're pretty good at now. Holly Yeah agree, | think thats true. | think its easy to ty and do everything together and ifm seeing another frend, | would love to invite you along, but | know it's important not to be on top of each other all the time. Hannah Yeah. Not to always be a pat. When | was doing my MBA, | attended ful time for about one year atthe University of Oxford, in England. You could do an MBA, .. um | think pretty much anywhere in the word, Un, most universities offer the MBA as a two-year COUTSE, «UM. ‘although the one | cid was twelve months. | think the workis extremely demanding, especially if you do a shorter ‘one-year course. Um, then the amount of work is very stressful and itis graded very harshly. However, itis ls, for Some, 2 sort ofa break from work and a— a chance to learn something new and sort of progress, and a break ‘out of the coutine that we all are in. And oftentimes the friendships you form when working so hard can be the most rewarding part, and | am stil in touch with my sx best friends from business schoo. ve been playing the guitar for about ten years now, and if someone was wanting to learn, | would recommend just aking some time to lean the chord structures, and then trying to learn some of the— the chords to the music ‘that you ike so you can pay along with that, | wouldnt realy recommend lessons unless you want to get into the mote technical side of things, or play really complicated things. | think is more fun intially to just learn the basics and try to play along with what you like. And you could even get together with some of your fiends playing ciffeent instruments and— and try to cover some of your favourite music. You should earn probably about sx fr seven chords, and that’ probably enough for most popular songs. Uh, and then you can combine those in 2 variety of different ways and— and come up with— with lots of ciferent sounds. Unit 12 Starting work 1 1 What was your fist job? 4.
