Last weekend, I saw my cousin Louise. The last time I saw her was six
years ago, and she has changed a lot. She was eight then, and she was
short and well-built, and she wore glasses. Now shes really different.
Shes tall and slim, and she plays a lot of sport. She doesnt wear glasses
either.
Louise goes to secondary school now, and she plays volleyball for the
school team. At the moment, shes got a broken arm because she had an
accident two weeks ago. Louise normally cycles everywhere, but she
cant go cycling at the moment because of her arm. At school, her
favourite subjects are the same as mine: art and P.E. When she leaves
school, she wants to be a designer or a P.E. teacher.

very happy. This summer, shes going to come to the beach with us. I

My school life
When I started at this school, my first impressions werent very good. I
didnt know anyone, so I felt worried and shy. I thought my classmates
were very quiet, and the school was big and unfriendly. But after a few
weeks I felt much better. I was more relaxed, and I started to make new
friends.
Now I really enjoy going to school. I see my friends here every day, and I
like most of my classes. This year Im studying ten subjects. My favourite
subject is geography. At the moment were doing a project about the
environment. Its about the way the worlds temperature is increasing, and
its effect on the weather. Im definitely interested in studying geography at
univeristy.
I also go to an after-school club at school.
The after-school club is a place where you do other activities, like sports or
creative things.
I go there twice a week. At the moment were learning to edit digital
photographs on the computer. I think that its really exciting.

Most of my teachers here are nice. The best teacher is Mrs Hammond, my
geography teacher. At first, I didnt like Mrs Hammond because I thought
she was too strict. But in fact shes very friendly. The only teacher I dont
like is Mr Brown. Hes really moody and he gives us too much homework.

Im writing about the advert in the newspaper for au pairs. I would like to
work as an au pair in Spain for a year starting next summer.
Im sending my C.V., from which you can see that I have got experience of
working with children as a volunteer at my local primary school. I would like
to work in Spain because I am studying Spanish at school, and would love
to have the opportunity to practise it more. After working as an au pair, I
am going to study languages at London University.
I would be happy to come for an interview. I am available every afternoon
