The Lost Sheep

La Oveja Perdida
Many people asked
Jesus who was most
important to God.
Jesus told them this
story.

Muchas personas le
pidieron a Jesús quien
era más importante
para Dios. Jesús les
dijo esta historia.
 The story was about a shepherd who had one hundred sheep
and looked after each one very well. He protected them and
made sure they had plenty of food and water.
La historia trataba de un pastor que tenía cien ovejas y cuidaba
de cada una de ellas muy bien. Él las protegió y se aseguró de que
ellas tuvieran suficiente comida y agua.
 Every night the
shepherd would count up
his sheep to check they
were all there.
One day, the shepherd
realised one of his sheep
was missing!

Cada noche el pastor

contaba a sus ovejas
para comprobar que todas
estuvieran allí.
Un día, el pastor se dio
cuenta que una de sus
ovejas no estaba allí!
The shepherd looked everywhere for the lost sheep. He
could not rest until it was found!
El pastor buscó por todas partes por su oveja perdida.  No
podría descansar hasta que fuera encontrada!
The shepherd was so happy when he found his lost sheep! He
wanted to celebrate! He carried the lost sheep back home.
El pastor estaba tan contento cuando encontró a su oveja
perdida!  Quería celebrar! Llevó de vuelta a casa de nuevo su
oveja perdida.
Jesus explained to the
people that He is like
the good shepherd in
the story. He loves
each one of us just like
the shepherd loved and
cared for each one of
his sheep.

Jesús le explicó a la
gente que Él es como el
buen pastor en la
historia.  Ama a cada
uno de nosotros al igual
que el pastor amaba y
cuidaba a cada una de
sus ovejas.
