Qu pasa
cada siete aos el director Michael Apted visita un grupo de nios britnicos que os
primeros hombres en 1964. No eran ms que siete aos de edad cuando comenz a
trabajar en un documental sobre su vida. el primer documental era sobre todo acerca
de las diferencias sociales. pero en lugar de poner fin a las cosas all, decidi visitar a
los nios cada siete aos y seguir sus vidas en la serie para arriba. quera ver si los
ricos seguira siendo rica y si los nacidos pobres continuaran teniendo vidas difciles.
generalmente cada episodio de la serie demuestra que la gente es la vida realmente
no cambian. los nios ricos como Andrew y Jhon terminar su educacin formal con
estudios en Oxford y Cambridg y siguen siendo ricos. otros como symon y Paul que
viven en una casa de caridad, siguen teniendo una vida sencilla que hacen
principalmente poner puestos de trabajo y les resulta difcil hacer frente. las chicas de
trabajo fondos classs tienen difcil hacer frente. los jvenes procedentes de sectores
de la clase obrera tienen dificultades para tratar de encontrar la felicidad, mientras que
las nias como Suzy ricos llevan vidas ms cmodas como las esposas de clase alta.
una de las mayores sorpresas de la serie es EIL n excntrico que tena un gran sentido

encontrar la estabilidad en su vida y entrar en eventualy poltica. Otra sorpresa es
Nick, que crece en una pequea granja en el medio de ahora dnde y quin se
convierte en un cientfico successsful en los estados unidos. los fans de la serie
documental sienten que conocen bien los personajes. despus de todo, verlos crecer y
hacer frente a la vida. la serie presenta retratos realistas de cmo nuestra clase social
puede influir en nuestras vidas y personalidades

what is up
every seven years director michael apted visits a group of british children that he first
men in 1964. they were just seven years old when he started working on a documentary
about their lives. the first documentary was mostly about social differences. but instead
of ending things there, he decided to visit the children every seven years and follow
their lives in the up series. he wanted to see if the rich would still be rich and if those
born poor would continue to have challenging lives.
generally each episode of the series shows that people is lives do not really change. rich
children like andrew and jhon finish their formal education with studies at oxford and
cambridg and continue to be rich. others like symon and paul who live in a charity
home, continue to have simple lives mainly doing add jobs and find it difficult to cope.
the girls from working classs backgrounds have difficult to cope. the girls from
working class backgrounds have difficulty trying to find happiness while girls like
wealthy suzy lead more comfortable lives as upper class wives .
one of the greatest surprises of the series is eccentric n eil who had a great sense of
humor at the age of seven but who becomes a homeless man before finally finding
stability in his life and eventualy entering politics. another surprise is nick, who grows
up on a small farm in the middle of now where and who becomes a successsful
scientist in the united states.
fans of the documentary series feel like they know the characters well. after all, they
watch them grow and cope with life. the series presents realistic portraits of how our
social class can influence our personalities and lives.
