Figure 5 shows the intake stroke A indicates the exhaust valve. It is closed. B
indicates the piston, it is moving down. C indicates the intake cam. It lifts D the
intake tappet. The intake tappet lifts E the intake valve when the intake valve is
lifted, the intake port is open F indicates the air entering the carburator G
indicates the fiul air mixture being pulled into the cylinder.
Figure 6 shows the compression stroke. A indicates the piston. It is moving up.
B indicates the exhaust valve and the intake valve. Both valves are close. C
indicates the fuel air mixture. It is compressed in the top of the cylinder. The
section it is compressed into is called the combustion chamber.
