Modelo TCP/IP (Transmission
Control Protocol/Internet
Protocol) es un conjunto de
protocolos de comunicación
utilizados para la interconexión
de redes y la transmisión de
datos en Internet. Desarrollado
en los años 70 por Vinton Cerf
y Robert E.Kahn
Relación entre los modelos y el proceso de
comunicación en la red.
Beneficios de los modelos de red en el proceso de
comunicación
1. Estandarización: Los modelos establecen estándares para el diseño y la
implementación de redes, lo que facilita la comunicación entre diferentes sistemas y
fabricantes.

2. División de tareas: Cada capa del modelo se ocupa de funciones específicas, lo


que simplifica el diseño y la solución de problemas en redes complejas.

3. Interoperabilidad: Los modelos permiten la interoperabilidad entre sistemas y


dispositivos, ya que las capas están diseñadas para trabajar juntas y comunicarse a
través de interfaces bien definidas.

4. Enfoque modular: Las capas permiten que las mejoras y los cambios se realicen
en una capa sin afectar directamente a las demás, lo que facilita la evolución y el
desarrollo de las redes.

Caso de Estudio 1: Red de una Pequeña Empresa de Diseño Gráfico

Una pequeña empresa de diseño gráfico con 10 empleados necesita establecer una red
para compartir archivos y recursos. Se deben evaluar las opciones de topología y tipo de
red adecuados.

Caso de Estudio 2: Interconexión de Sucursales de una Empresa Financiera

Una empresa financiera con varias sucursales en diferentes ciudades necesita una red
para compartir datos sensibles y garantizar la comunicación constante entre las
sucursales.
Tarea
1- Investigar y compartir ejemplos adicionales de redes
LAN, WAN, MAN y WLAN en la vida real.
2-Realizar los ejercicios prácticos que se encuentran en el
documento word.
